Ive been reading these books since kindergarden/first grade and im a loyal fan toward these books. Now im in fifth grade and im still enjoying them. I reccamend theese books to kids eight to twelve but younger kids could read them if they want though. Please read these books because they are short( each book about l20 pages long) and good to read on short car rides. They tell alot about what has happened in the past all around the world and not just usa! Highly reccamended!!!!

I love Magic Treehouse books, because they have adventure and excitement! Also, history, mystery, and magic! What kid doesn't like any of those things? I am going into sixth grade this year and I am still a fan. Of course I have other books to read that I like better, BUT it doesn't mean I cannot read them. I haven't read any of the books after the Cobra one. That is beacause I check them out in my library, so if we don't have a new book, we must live with it. I am hoping that we will have new Magic Treehouse books when I get back to school. I would recommend this book series to anyone ranging from 1st grade 'till about 3rd grade. I started reasing them in 2nd grade and have read them over and over. I do not have a favorite but if i had to pick my top three it would be: 1. Tonight on the Titanic 2. Haunted Castle on Hallows Eve 3. Dark Day in the Deep Blue Sea Those are the ones you can almost always see me checking out at school. Well, if you are a NEW reader to the series or an old reader, you should read the books. It is a fantastic series that lots of people enjoy, young AND old. I love the series and I really think you should get the book. (P.S) And if you happen to be someone saying you didn't like the book? Please be thoughtful when you write your comments or reviews. I can understand if you got the book, like the series but just didn't like THIS book and are just stating your opinion. But to those of you who are calling people and the author stupid, watch it. You could really hurt someone's feelings and get them to stop reading a great series. Please be more considerate when writing your reviews. Thank-you! Please take what I wrote into consideration.

Time-traveling brother-and-sister duo Jack and Annie must find four secrets of greatness for Merlin the magician.  On their first such adventure, they travel back in time to ancient Macedonia and meet Alexander the Great.  However, young Alexander is prideful, bossy, and not very nice.  His father, King Philip II, has purchase a bunch of new horses, including a black stallion named Bucephalus.  Alexander wants the horse for his own, but the animal seems rather wild, and Philip intends to get rid of it.  Is there anything that Jack and Annie can do to help tame Bucephalus, enable Alexander to keep him, and in the process learn one secret of greatness?       Even though our boys are long past the age range for the Magic Tree House books, and in fact are now out of school completely, my wife has continued to buy them because she enjoys reading about the adventures of Jack and Annie herself.  Some object to them because of the magical element, but others feel that the magic is more of the fairy tale type rather than anything akin to actual sorcery or is just used as a literary vehicle to get the two back in time without necessarily promoting it.  In Stallion by Starlight the euphemism “gosh” appears once.  The basic benefit of the series is introducing young readers to important historical figures and events in a fun way that captures their attention and makes the story interesting.
