The celebration isn't supposed to end in tragedy. The night of their high-school drama group's cast party starts out as fun for sisters Amy and Erin.
Their lives come crashing down when Amy takes the car to get more food and has a horrible accident. Erin and her family pray for Amy to awaken from her coma. But as the monitor bleeps and the respirator hisses, Amy lies somewhere between life and death.
Erin and her parents must find the courage to accept the fact that Amy's life-support system will never bring her back. When she dies, can the family give some meaning to her senseless death? Can Amy's dying become the hope for someone else's living?

This is the BEST book ever. Erin is determined to save her sister in a life and death situation. She won't let her sister die. This book is a must read.

I like this book very much. One thing that I like a lot about this story is that erin would never give up on her sister. One thing I thoght that was going to happen was Travis would hear when Erin was telling Amy that she use to like him and somehow they would end up together.

lurlene mcdaniel does good research for her books and i appreciate this this is her best book by far which isnt saying much but i like it simply because it has no reference to god in it whatsoever and i was getting sick of it in her other books

I really liked this book. It felt weird at first reading it because my name is Erin, but I got really into the story and couldn't put it down. It was really sad and made me cry. The second book is just as good.

What a great storyteller! At first, it was diffcult to keep reading on, but terrible car wreck that Amy had draws me closer. I went on and felt I am in the scene where Amy laid in the hosptial. I felt so sad for Amy's family, especially for Erin. Erin had the most suffering to face than their parents had as I think because Erin and Amy were very close. So does for me and my own sister who still alive. For Amy, I missed her good humor sense and good heart. She died in peace without any regret because of how well and wonderful she had been living. For all of us, we need that when comes to be dying because a precious life can be short. McDaniel's book is deserved to be recommended as well. Keep it up, Ms. McDaniel :-) Now, I better check out the second story--Time TO LET GO because it draws me closer.

this book was loving and sad!It was one of the best books i have read in a while!I have learned so much from this book and to never let a young person drive in bad weather, especially someone that has only had their drivers licens for only a week! I haven't read a time to let go but i am in the prosses of it!
