This book is really great, it keeps you so focused. You just can't wait until the next scene! It's pretty fast pace! Not only a fun children's book, but also one to teach! I wouldn't consider this book violent, but there is a good amount of fighting between the two brothers, another key point is at the slopes, the love to snowboard, and have big competitions. All to show off for entire group of lady's. The brothers are different ages. Both in the stage of life where there girl crazy. This book is defiantly for a sports kid, or athlete. Don't know anything If you about sports or don't like them you would hate this book. Most young athletes read this during grades 6-7. It gives you a sports background. And what is possible to happen between two people playing there hardest. A lot of arguments can happen, and some little scuffs. You can't be afraid. Rumor has it when you are scared you're waiting talent! This book has a few hard words, but after it sort OF in a way explains what they mean. Snowboard show down is a book with a lot of strong language. But there still is a few curse words. If you do not allow your child to read books with cuss words this inst a good book for him. The book even has some hard words to read. I am an above average eighth grader, and there is a few words I even had to ask my parents/teachers about. It's the kind of book that keeps you on your feet the whole time. Witch most kids like those anyway so that's a major plus. I would recommend your child/athlete to read this book it's a great book!

The best book! It's all about two brothers who fight and dared each other. The youngest brother's name was Freddie and the older brother's name was Dondi. Freddie was mad at Dondi because he always called his little bro's name. Dondi's friends told Dondi to dared Freddie to snowbroad down the dangerous place. I won't tell you what kind of place did they went. I won't tell you what's happening at the end of the story. They will help you to stop fight with your brother. That's why I gave them 5 stars.
