Overview

"Joey knew he didn't have much time. He had to get up and out of its path. And fast! But what was wrong? He felt like he weighed a ton. He could hardly move. The snow was deep, and he had no strength."

Joey is a fairly normal little boy facing the usual pressures of growing up. Mom and Dad do what they can to ensure that he learns and develops good Christian character. But sometimes it is not enough.
This time, Joey will take foolish steps that really begin to...snowball.
It will be God Himself Who provides the most valuable and surprising lessons. And this one will really wake him up.
Retaliation or "getting even" often feels like the best plan of action to satisfy the horrible way we feel. But this just reveals that there is a problem with the way that we feel. Not only is retaliation a dangerous choice, but more importantly, it is forbidden by God.

About the Author

Michael Humphrey lives in the farmland of Central Ohio with his wife and youngest daughter. Following the Lord for nearly forty years with his family has been his greatest passion and has given him a special appreciation for the creative work around him and for the Bible.
But outside the Word of God, finding the kind of story that can stir an imagination while also provoking the heart to godliness has been a tremendous challenge.
So motivated by seven children and fourteen grandchildren and drawn by a nostalgic sentiment of reading to children from actual books that are held in the hands, he decided to direct some of his passions to writing and illustrating books that would both captivate young minds and instill Christian values in their lives.
