FromNew York TimesBestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes SMART TASS, a new Romantic Comedy.

He's the hot college quarterback all the girls want. She's the smart girl he loves to pick on.And now that they're all grown up, things are about to get geekin' ugly.

My name is Tass. I'm smart, I'm driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he'd pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he'd throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.

But now that we've ended up at the same college, he's out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It's like he's fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I'm not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.

So what's my plan?

It's definitely wild, and he's about to find out.

Mimi is at the top if my auto-buy list! She hasn't written one yet that was anything less than downright enjoyable. Every book is so different and usually laugh out loud hilarious. The only downside is that it's a rather short book. I read it in an afternoon. But she puts books out so quickly I don't mind so much. :-)

Smart Tass is so, so, so funny! Another contemporary romance from Mimi Jean that is absolutely wonderful! It stirs your heart, warms your toes, and puts butterfly's in your belly! Tass is so funny, I love her personality, and the same goes forgot get friends, hunter and his friend, and the way cool, well I won't give that part away. I don't read many contemporary romances, but if it is by Mimi Jean Pamfilof I sure as heck do! The only part that I didn't like about this book is that I wanted more!!!!

I like the plot I wonder if it really is possible to fall in love with someone at age 5. That's the notion behind this book. The female lead was oblivious to how the male lead felt about her. She thought he was picking on her. He felt she was mean and doing the same to her. I know this part can happen. I've experinced it. Just like these two, we spent a long time on either side of the fork in the road til finally we merged into one. I think you will enjoy this read. Simone24

"Smart Tass" and the (standalone) sequel "Oh Henry" are utterly hilarious. The characters are relatable, the situations are just wacky enough to be real, and MJP's writing style combine to create lighthearted stories that, every once in a while, tug the heartstrings to make the reader cry and then laugh five minutes later. MJP is one of my go-to authors for comfort books.

This is another book I picked up for free. Great deal on this book and it is currently still FREE!. Tass and Hunter. Jock and nerd girl. As if getting picked on by a boy in school isn't enough she lived next door to Hunter, and they get scholarships to the same college! Hunter deserves all the snark he gets, or does he. Tass might be a smartie pants but shes only got the book smarts going for her, Shes totally dumb when it comes to Hunter. It may turn out that a big, muscly, hunk of a jock doesn't want a made up beauty queen.. Maybe the nerdy girl in her glasses is exactly what he wants. The back and forth between these characters entertained me. "his cocky grin morphs into a flat pair of lips and twitching blue eyes. He's pissed. Another point me. I sigh contentedly, turn, and exit the library. Brains beat brawn every time." I had quite a few LOL moments and had some parts I almost cried. I enjoyed all the characters and cannot wait to get Henry's book.! All together I really liked this story. Fun, witty, sexy and slightly emotional. This is the first book of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's I have read and I will be sure to read more.

A different take on the normal jock vs nerd story. It was great. Would have liked to see more of the relationship development. But not bad.

Ahhh, revenge, a dish best served cold, right? To make it sweeter, Tass thinks she is finally going to get the upper hand in her lifelong dysfunctional relationship with hot jock Hunter Johnson. Too bad our little genius forgot that her heart would become part of the equation and just maybe there is more to “the Hunt” than rock hard abs, a pair of gorgeous eyes and a penchant for driving her crazy with his antics! Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is the creator extraordinaire of SMART TASS the opening salvo in the OHellNo romantic comedy series! ‘Nuff said, right? Quirky characters, awkward moments and a lifetime of interaction of the not-so-romantic kind will come to a head of epic proportions in college as Tass and Hunter find themselves exposed to the truth! Told through Tass’s snarky voice, I laughed a lot, sometimes having a chuckle break through two pages later! And Hunter? Um, he really wasn’t quite the Neanderthal Tass saw him as! Pages and pages of fun, light-hearted reading nestled within a cast of characters that are priceless! Let go of reality, live this tale, shake your head and be thoroughly entertained! Then think back to YOUR younger years, whatever happened to the kid who tormented you mercilessly? Did you ever get paybacks? How'd that work out for you?

Sometimes scenes went too fast, other times it was too much blabbering. But it was ok.

Tass' & Hunter's story is hilarious. The two tortured each other, emotionally & psychologically since they were five years old. The sizzling tension between the two as they become young adults is out of this world. Different than the usual jock/science nerd plot as the characters & conflicts are complicated. Science nerd, Tass is funny & determined to hold her own against her childhood nemesis, Hunter. Hunter is mischievous, determined, & of course beautiful of face & body. I laughed throughout this book, but there were some dark & sad moments.

The story was pretty good. Kind of got tired of Tass, she just seemed so immature at times. But overall a good read.****

4.5 Nerdy Stars! I love me a good nerd book! Hunter and Tass have a love/hate relationship. Growing up as neighbors has put them in close proximity all through school. Hunter is the popular jock and Tass is the snarky nerd girl. It’s a classic case of boy picks on girl, girl snarls at boy. If living next to each other isn’t enough, they both get scholarships to the same college and Tass finds that she can’t get away from Hunter. Things come to a head when Rush week for both Tass and Hunter finally brings out the truth behind their childhood animosity. For the most part this book was fun and light. I enjoyed Tass as the snarky nerd and I loved Hunter’s constant taunting of his nerd princess. Their banter was entertaining. We also got to see a bit of Elle and Henry together. It looks like where this book leaves off, will pick right up with Elle and Henry in book 2. I’m looking forward to it! ARC provided by NetGalley.

The power of WORDS is explored! In our age of awareness concerning bullying this is a read that explains the effects of a bleeding heart. Tassie and Hunter are neighbors and two souls who have bounced their feeling like a rubber ball for years. Shadows of our mind shield us from hurt and lash out with anger when threatened. Pamfiloff always conveys intense characters that likely will either make you laugh or cry or more likely both. Quick, Funny, Romantic journey that leads to the ultimate escape! Don't miss out on this one or any of her series! "A copy of this book was provided by author through NetGalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion." While I was waiting for the approval on this I purchased my own copy just as I have done for years. Yes she is that good! Look forward to Oh Henry which I think I will go purchase right now!

I loved that she took a classic story, the nerd and the jock, but put a totally new spin on it. The characters are complex and the writing is hysterical. I read it in one night and loved it. Only downside was the ending that just prepped you more for the next book than gave you that closure.

Smart Tass is book one in the OHellNo series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. I’ve been a fan of Mimi Jean’s books forever. She never fails to amaze me with each new book or series. They are all so unique to one another, each one a complete new adventure. Such is the case with this new series. It is fun, yet has a serious side. It’s a little bit sexy and a lotta bit sassy. Tassie Summerset comes from a family of academic over achievers. Both her parents and her older brother have accomplished great things. Now it’s her turn. She is weighted down with pressure to carry on the family torch. Her entire life Tassie’s family has lived next door to the Johnson family. Their son, Hunter is her age. Before they were school age, they were best friends. Then came the first day of kindergarten and everything changed. For the next thirteen years Hunter made her life a nightmare with teasing and taunting. Tassie looked forward to college and getting away from Hunter, until he chose the same college as she did, Austin U. Hunter Johnson, aka Hunt, became a football star in high school and is now the starting quarterback for their college team. The man is solid muscle and heads turn when he walks by. Tassie is expected to follow her mother’s footsteps and get into the Tri Kappa Sorority House. But the most recent prank of Hunter’s has put her acceptance in grave danger. So Tassie has a plan to get him back. Let the games begin. As Tassie and Hunter circle each other in their never ending battle, truths begin to come out. Tassie has remembered things one way, her way. Her memory has left out some things. Is it possible that the ongoing problems between them are partly her fault as well? And Tassie’s roommate has a theory. That when a boy bothers you, it usually means he likes you. Could it be possible that all along, Hunter was just trying to get her attention. That he was into her? Lines were definitely crossed in the battle between these two. I actually worried that the damage was too much. But even though Hunter did some despicable things, when the truth came out, I fell in love with him. I loved this book but if I had one tiny little complaint, it’s that the whole book is told from Tassie’s point of view. Oh how I wanted to hear what Hunter was thinking. As always, though, Mimi Jean has managed to entertain me, make me smile and sigh and swoon and just make my day better. I am so excited to read the next book, Oh Henry, which is Tassie’s roommate Elle’s story, and Henry, Hunters friend and fellow football player. I can’t wait to see what Mimi has in store for these two.
