Shattering Time is a masterpiece, one of the most riveting books I have ever read! After reading KJ Waters’ number one best-selling thriller Stealing Time, her first book in the series, and her related short story Blow, I became captivated by her adeptness in taking the reader by the hand and whisking them through spine tingling adventures, combining the excitement of deadly hurricanes, time travel, romance, betrayal, and mystery. She adroitly weaves superb development of lively, earthy characters into her suspenseful new novel, keeping the tension intense, and calling forth every emotion imaginable. Moreover, it is apparent that she invested many hours of research and discussion with historical experts to make the reader’s journey authentic. Although the experience will be enriched by reading her prior works, Shattering Time stands on its own, giving an excellent backdrop to catch readers up to speed on what happened in her first novel. While reading the first book, I fell in love with Ronnie, the young woman who is the main character. She is the friend every woman wants and the girlfriend every man desires. You will feel great empathy for her as she becomes the unwitting victim of the boyfriend she trusts, and for her having to endure horrific mistreatment and tragic misfortune in her time travels. Her friends are the only thing keeping her sanity, although their help is at times ineffective, causing unintended consequences amidst a monster Hurricane Frances. They cannot prevent her from being thrust again into the past or her life hanging in the balance as she is dropped into the Lost Colony of Roanoke Island. As a Floridian who has seen the complete devastation that hurricanes bring to lives and property, forever changing the landscape, I deeply appreciate KJ Water’s mastery of the subject and her gift of capably pulling the reader into the heart of the storm, the perfect metaphor for the life of Ronnie. You will want to read Shattering Time, time and time again! https://www.kjwaters.com/
