Shades of Bale is a well written story successfully blending politics, 'twisted' intellect, an intriguing plot, a variety of rich characters and enjoyable sense of humor. Each chapter begins with a cleverly worded rhyme that gives you a hint of what is to come. An enjoyable read!

I found Shades of Bale to be an action packed story that was very difficult to put down. From begining to end it proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable read. Starting with the instantly likable main charactor, to the equally despicable villain, the author takes you on an exciting trip that has its share of twists and turns. always believable, but never predictable, the story has everything you enjoy in a good drama/mystery.
