Enjoyed this historic romance, it flowed well and keeps ones attention. A story of revelations, unconditional love, and a few surprises along the way, exactly what romance novels should be!

I've read all the Bragg series - so I wanted to read the last Bragg story (Regina's). I was disappointed with the plot, characters and entire story line. I thought the storyline for Regina and Slade to get together was weak and unbelievable. I also thought the characters were not believable. If Slade is a polished and sophisticated businessman, why would he act so rude and crude? If Regina is an intelligent and responsible lady, why would she act so flighty and illogically? Slade was so mean at first - what did Regina see in him (besides good looks) to make her fall in love with him in a few days? In fact, after they married - what kind of relationship did they have other than sex? I would not recommend this one.

The opening plot was a little hard to digest, there were to many coincidences to make it truly believable. But once I got through the first few chapters I was hooked. Where she lacked in developing the plot she made up for it with her characterization and explosive personalities. I also found the relationships between her characters to be amazingly well written. She had my emotions running in circles right up to the very surprising ending. I hope to find myself reading a sequel soon.

Plot wasn't the greatest, but I liked the scenes between Slade and Regina. Especially when they went to dinner at Charles Mann's house and Slade seems to me, very possesive, which was very romantic in my mind. :) I like 'After Innocence' much better.
