Overview

Together again. It's been a year since Katie O'Roark, Chelsea James, and Lacey Duval shared a special summer at Jenny House. The girls have each spent the year struggling to fit into the world of the healthy. Now they're back, this time as "big sisters" to a new group of girls who also face life-threatening illnesses.
But even as the friends strive to help their "little sisters" face the future together, they must separately confront their own expectations. Katie must decide between an old flame and an exciting scholarship far from home. Chelsea must overcome her fear of romance. And Lacey must convince the boy that she loves that the feelings for him can be trusted.
When tragedy strikes Jenny House, each of the girls knows that things can never be the same again. Will Lacey, Chelsea, and Katie find a way to carry on the legacy of the Jenny House? Can their special friendship endure when they go their separate ways?

When I read this book, I almost cried at school! My dad's a fireman and whenever there's a fire, I'm scared he'll get hurt,or worse, killed! Anyone who doesn't like McDaniel's books is crazy!

Three teenage girls, each with a significant health problem, each with a boyfriend or prospective romance, and each with impending decisions about her future, become counselors at Jenny House for a summer where they are helping younger girls deal with their cancer, heart problems, diabetes, or similar illnesses. Katie O¿Roark has been offered a track scholarship in Arizona and feels both a pull to follow her dreams there and also a connection with her boyfriend, Josh. Even more complex, Katie is alive because of a heart transplant from Josh¿s brother! Katie¿s friends, Chelsea James and Lacey Duval, are immersed in their own romantic issues; Chelsea lacks confidence and self-esteem and believes no one man wants her. Lacey, on the other hand, has a certain arrogance and therefore cannot convince her boyfriend that she truly cares for him. Friendship is the girls¿ bond, and like many teenage girls that bond and their sharing builds their confidence. Teenage girls will love this.

this book helped me realize that in relationships trust is a big thing after all. plus even though you know how you should feel and act you don't always act that way.this book also had to be pried from my hands each day and night my hands are now stuck in holding a book position thanks alot katie, josh, lacey, jeff, chelsea, and dj

this book was good but far from the best in this series. i liked how each girl had different types of everyday problems, but katie, chelsea, and lacey all had the same thing: romanceromanceromance. i mean the romance thing was really overdone and the drama surrounding it was magnified. it's just people repeating the same stuff over and over, and others falling into the traps they wove themselves... but still i did enjoy reading it.

this book was worth reading. i found it so amazing that miracles could happen, even when the chips were down for lacey like that. i'm glad she shaped up. she needed it.

This book is so good because it shows how teenage girls with a life threating illness still help others who need help and they still strive to live a normal life. And they are best friends like many teenagers want to be with their friends. Also it shows that sometimes it mite be hard to choose what you want to do but you always end up doing the right thing in the end.

I think this book was outsanding.I could not put it down,I read it in two days!Lacey,Chelsea, and Katie each have their own conflicts tied into the story which makes the story real interesting!.All of them seem to be so real the way Lurlene McDaniel's described all of them!Great job,Lurlene McDaniel!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book it was so so wonderful. It was really touching. I liked the first one, Please Don't Die, better but this was almost as good. It was really touching, also, because I, like Lacey, have diabetes and I understand what she goes through everyday and I understand how she got sick and everything. I think it is sad when they go to see Amanda's memorial, and how they all have grown up so much. I am wondering what is going to happen to the Jenny House, since it burned down. And I hope that Katie and Josh get back together, because they have gone through so many things together, and they are meant for each other. I have to admit that these books are sad, sometimes they make me cry, but they really make you think about life and how you should cherish it because you never know, tomorrow, it could be over.
