New, never-before-published full-length novel
Tall, Dark & Dangerous/SEAL Team Ten #12
First published May 2018

Navy SEAL Lieutenant Jim "Spaceman" Slade's got a problem. A SEAL Team is only as fast as its slowest member--and right now, thanks to his battered knees--that's Jim. He reluctantly takes medical leave, but he's a SEAL, so he spends his "vacation" as an instructor, helping out a former senior chief who runs a camp for SEAL wannabes. But to Jim's shock, he finds himself falling for the one woman attending the camp session--an obviously brilliant but seemingly timid lawyer who is determined to do everything her way, no matter how wrong.

Ashley DeWitt's got a problem, too. She's a kickass lawyer, but when it comes to her personal life, she's a total pushover. When she finds herself hiding behind her condo Dumpster to avoid a confrontation with an ex, she decides enough is enough and signs up for a session at a camp called SEAL World, in hopes she'll discover how to be more assertive outside of the courtroom. And then she's assigned to Jim's team...

When an alpha male--smart, funny, strong, but terrified of a future trapped behind a desk--collides with a smart, funny, and quietly strong woman with a troubled past, sparks fly hot and fast.

The tall, dark, and dangerous Navy SEALs of Team Ten are back, with reader favorites like Lucky, Joe Cat, Bobby Taylor and his wife Colleen, Thomas King, Rio Rosetti--and with Suzanne Brockmann's signature blend of love, laughter, and a hint of danger in SEAL CAMP. (60,000 words or 225 pages)

About the Author

After childhood plans to become the captain of a starship didn’t pan out, Suzanne Brockmann took her fascination with military history, her respect for the men and women who serve, her reverence for diversity, and her love of storytelling, and explored brave new worlds as a New York Times bestselling romance author. Over the past twenty-five years she has written fifty-seven novels, including her award-winning Troubleshooters series about Navy SEAL heroes and the women—and sometimes men—who win their hearts. In addition to writing books, Suzanne Brockmann produces feature-length movies: the award-winning romantic comedy The Perfect Wedding, which she co-wrote with her husband, Ed Gaffney, and their son, Jason; the thriller Russian Doll; and the soon-to-be-released rom-com Analysis Paralysis. She is currently in pre-production for Out of Body, a rom-com with paranormal elements. She has also co-written two YA novels with her daughter Melanie, and is the publisher and editor of an m/m line of category romances called Suzanne Brockmann Presents. Her latest novel is SEAL Camp, available in print and e-book from Suzanne Brockmann Books.

I love the way Suzanne Brockmann writes. Not only does she bring the world of the Navy SEAL to life but she never, ever shies away from her steadfast belief in social justice. And she does it in a completely believable way. Sure the relationships are obvious. Boy gets girls. Let’s face it, that’s why we read these books. However, the women aren’t doormats. Ever. Period. And the men sometimes have to struggle and adjust to keep up. Sounds good to me. Suzanne, thank you so much for giving me a universe to play in where the men are worthwhile and the women remind me to stay true to myself.

Spaceman had always been a favorite of mine and I loved he and Ashley's story. The women's rights issues got a little too preachy at times, but certainly right on target. Really looking forward to future TDD stories.

Great to touch bas with the old cast of characters. Story was a bit short and a bit heavy handed on the PC stuff, but the romance was still great.

Loved remembering the characters from all the other books. Just wish it had more danger and longer. Hoping there's not a huge gap of time before the next one comes out.

I have enjoyed Suzanne Brockmans writing for many years, whether it is a seal book or any of her other stories. The characters have depth and humor and you can never go wrong mixing humor with drama. Another winner, thank you for your prolific outpourings

If you’ve never read one of Suzanne Brockmann’s books, you’re in for a treat! Yes, it is Book 12 in the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series but if you are new to the world of SEALs, you will have no trouble diving into Jim and Ashley’s story. While there are characters from the previous novels, their back stories are not integral to the plot. Ashley is a lawyer who specializes in cases of domestic abuse and fights ferociously for others but isn’t good at standing up for herself. She decides to attend SEAL Camp to learn how to be more assertive in her personal life. Navy SEAL Jim “Spaceman” Slade has injured his knees one too many times and takes a position as instructor at the SEAL Camp as he tries to decide if there is life outside the SEAL teams and what direction his future holds. Their story will have you laughing and sniffling and wanting more of Suzanne’s story telling. Lucky for us, there are lots of her books out there and, she promises, more in store.

Suzanne Brockmann used to be one of my automatic buys. She was thoughtful, funny and wrote an incredible story that made you cry, laugh and sigh. Now her stories are mediocre and make me feel like I’m getting a lecture about how horrible we are all except for a few chosen few. Probably won’t buy any more of her books.

I always enjoy these books, and this is a good quick easy read. Ashley didn't impress me like some of the other heroines - despite some of the resolution she never really found her spine and thats just not my thing. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it for other longtime fans of TDD. Thank you, Suzanne, for continuing to tell their stories. The time jump was a nonissue.
