My son who was 14 months when i bought this book and still LOVES IT. The book has over 100 pages but only have 1 to 3 words a page. My son can't wait to turn each page and see what else he can identify with in our home, outside, at the playground where ever. He never gets frustrated or impatient with me due to the amount of time it takes to finish the book. I like that fact he and i can sit down with one book and go over several different words that he and i have been working on in order to get him started with talking. He is 18 months now and almost every evening that is one of the books he brings to me to read because the majority of the words and pictures are things he can recognize and loves to try to grab the items off the page some examples are he always attempts to grab the fork and spoon off their page and the cracker or pacifier and the remote control. My son has been getting read to since he was born and only certain books stand out in his little mind and this is one of them. I think it's great that we end up spending sometimes 15-30 minutes going over the book and all the pages because he wants to flip back and read it again. The one item that was missing out of the book was dog. He loves dogs and there is no picture of a dog for us to read. :(
