America’s #1 radio talk-show host and multi-million-copy #1 New York Times bestselling author presents the second book in a series for young readers with a history teacher who travels back in time to have adventures with exceptional Americans.

Rush Revere rides again! Saddle up with Rush Limbaugh’s really good pal for a new time-travel adventure.

“Whoa there, young historians! Before we go rush, rush, rushing off anywhere, I’d like a moment. I’m Liberty, Rush Revere’s loquacious equine companion—his trusty talking horse! Always at the ready to leap from the twenty-first century into America’s past, that’s me. When he says ‘Let’s go!’ I’m so there. I’m jazzed, I’m psyched, I’m—”

“Ah, excuse me, Liberty?”

“Yeah, Rush?”

“Usually you say ‘oh no, not again!’ and ‘while we’re in colonial Boston, can I try the baked beans?’”

“Okay, fine—you do the talking. I’ll just be over here, if you need me.…”

Well, he’s sulking now, but I couldn’t be your tour guide across time without Liberty! His name says it all: the freedom we celebrate every July Fourth with fireworks and hot dogs (and maybe some of those baked beans). But how did America get free? How did thirteen newborn colonies tell the British king where he could stick his unfair taxes?

Jump into the bustling streets of Boston in 1765, where talk of revolution is growing louder. I said LOUDER. You’ll have to SHOUT to be heard over the angry cries of “Down with the king!” and “Repeal the Stamp Act!” that fill the air. You’ll meet fierce supporters of liberty like Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and my idol, Paul Revere, as they fearlessly defy British rule. It’s an exciting, dangerous, turbulent, thrilling time to be an American…and exceptional young patriots like you won’t want to miss a minute. Let’s ride!

I read his frist book and i loved it. I could not wait for a sequal. Then i read this book and it is just as good. This book is good for someone who wants the true meaning of being an american. It is full of adventure, exitment, and comidy. I also listen to rush on the radio and i hear many stories of people five to grown up's loving this book and wanting another. Now give Liberty,a talking horse, and Rush Revere a chance to inspire you and read this book. That is what happened to me. Happy history!-age eleven

This is an incredible book! I read it in two days to review for my children. It is extremely well done, with detailed illustrations and historic photos. There was no major political agenda or any political references. It is purely a patriotic, feel good about our history, type of book. I highly suggest you share this book with your children so that they have fun learning important historic facts.

Exceptional book. Well written. Well researched. I cross referenced the historical content with several other books and he is spot on. What a wonderful way to teach history to kids!

I have only got to read just the sample they give you but i am ordering both the books because they intrigued me so much.i cant wait to get them in. I love listening to Rush on the radio because he tells it like it is and doesn't sugar cote anything for anyone.we need more truth in our society today,i believe thats what is wrong with our country, everyone thinks they need to lie to keep from hurting someones feelings.

I know that some of the 1star reviews are from people that just hate Rush and if it was written by a Liberal they would say it's great...I love my country and this book series is a fun way to look at our history. Set aside politics and read with an open mind because this is a cool series and I hope he keeps adding to it.

I read both of the books in this series so far and they are great reads.  I am 66 and it has been a pleasure to read these to my grandchildren.  Our country has a unique story and the author brings out the history I learned in school when I was a child and brings it to life through time travel.  The characters are awesome and the grandkids all have their favorites. Read the books to your kids or grandkids and you and they will be entertained and learn factually researched history at the same time.

Just the right enough historical facts to keep the young minds interested and focused on what REALLY TOOK PLACE AND WHY. I am 65 years old and there was information that my 6 grade teachers never mentioned. Also, Rush's first book, "Brave Pilgrims" was excellent too. I would highly recommend these two books to ALL young grade school children. The adults should read them also. A must in all the school classes across the U.S. and home schooling. Thank you very much Rush and keep them coming. MolonLabe Choctaw, OK

It is great to have someone writing non-revisionist history for our kids again. History should be interesting and have great stories and characters around them, not just dates to memorize. Good story telling makes reading fun! Our kids need to know where we have been as a people so they can lead us into the future! Go Rush!

Love that Rush - this guy is good and he knows his history. Schools do not teach the story of America, so a real patriot decided to write these books. These books also drive the liberals crazy! Limbaugh, he tells the truth. Great read and I am sending a copy to my grandkids.

This book was even better than the first one. The antics of Liberty are very entertaining and will appeal to kids. I liked the illustrations and especially that original documents were included. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the book is very high quality. Something you don't usually find in children's books. I highly recommend this series of books.

My 9 year old grandson just LOVED this book! Read both of Limbaugh's books and I was astounded at how much he learned. Forget the politics, and read it yourself at the library if you must. But, this tells it so a child has interest in history, not like reading a boring school book that is so matter-of- fact it turns a child's attention elsewhere. The "talking horse" Liberty adds a touch of humor to the story and kids love that! I'd give this a 10 if you had it, but endorse it 100%. Way to go with a way of teaching history basics to children!!

"Just spit it out, Freedom," I said, encouraging her. It's about Liberty, isn't it?" She silently nodded. He's not alone in the teachers' lounge. He's with, um, he's with Benjamin Franklin." "Excuse me?" I asked, clearly not hearing her correctly. "Liberty's not sure how it happened," Freedom exclaimed. "One minute he was hiding in the teacher's lounge, hoping there woulden't be any more lighting. He said that all he could think about was Benjamin Franklin and his invention of the lightning rod. He concetrated really hard and thought that if Ben Franklin were here we'd be all safe. And that's when the lightning flashed right over the school and the next second, BOOM! Benjamin Franklin appeared out of nowhere!" I stood staring at Freedom like she was a ghost. "Mr. Revere," Freedom asked softly. "Did you hear what I said?" I snapped out of my trance and took a deep breath. I exhaled and said, "Liberty told you all of this?" "Yeah, I mean telepatheticly he did," she said. "And he's really scared that you're going to be mad at him." "Tell him I'm not mad," I said. Was I stunned? Of course. Worried? Absolutly. "And tell him we're coming to help." I took out my phone and texted Tommy: "Need your help. TTWL. (Time travel with Liberty) Meet in teachers' lounge ASAP." (I looooove Liberty! He can talk! Time travel! Hold his breath and disapear! Love him! Great book! Ps. A girl in here takes King Goerges side! She wants to be queen! They have the excat same wants and personalitys!)

This is a great followup on the first book Rush Limbaugh has ventured trying to explain American history to kids in simple and understandable and at the same time fun to read format.  I would recommend to anyone from 8 and up to read and hopefully enjoy it.  Do not please read comments that are hateful because reviewers do not like author's political views.  Some of reviews sound like a critique of writers in the Soviet  Union.  Come on people, grow up.

This book may have been written for youngsters, but this 75 yr old thoroughly enjoyed it. History came alive and politics made simple.
