Jet McAlister has a secret. Eddie Chavez has the hots for Jet (not to mention Eddie’s just plain hot). Jet has too many problems to realize that Eddie’s interested. Eddie loses patience when Jet ends her waitressing shift at a strip club with a knife at her throat. Since Eddie’s a cop, he figures he can help. Since Jet’s used to solving everyone’s problems she doesn’t want Eddie’s help.

Throw in a Dolly Parton look-alike, a gruff but lovable strip club owner, Jet’s ne’er do well father, his ne’er do well friend, Bear, Bear’s long-suffering, chain-smoking wife Lavonne and the crew from Rock Chick and you’ve got Rock Chick Rescue.

Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver’s backstreet poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie’s take down a would-be murderer.

Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Loved Jet -- the main character. We've all got a little Jet in us; someone who tries to do it all herself. She's got a crazy family and who wouldn't want to be pursued by Eddie? Even though you're pretty sure you know how this will end, the twists, turns, and great characters keep this moving at a fast the Rock Chick series, you have to read all of them!

I find that I love this series more and more as it goes on. Eddie and Jet's chemistry is electric, even if she tries to deny it for most of the story. Watching her cave and accept him, plus accept the friendships that are offered to her was quite amusing. Of course, as always, the secondary cast was also wonderfully entertaining. I am in love with the friendships that are formed in the Rock Chick family, and also the bonds that Lee's boys have with each of the "pains in the ass". Smithie was a new one for me, I wasn't sure how to take him, but he ended up on of my favorites of the book. You have it all in this one, a little suspense, mean sharks after the little prey, hot macho guys, storybook friendships and a love story that was fun to read. So many parts of this book I felt like I was in the room watching the action, great writing.

Would have given it five stars but i couldnt stand the female lead. Hated her...pathetic with the poor me crap, bad thankless attitude, and drama. Instead of coming across as selfless, she came across as incredibly selfish and her behavior was that of a sixteen year old. I also didnt like how abusive the male lead was. But despite these negatives, it was still a great read

Loved Eddie and Jet! Jet has been a caretaker for so long that she has totally ignored her wellbeing and life, she no longer sees her worth. Eddie knows he wants to get to know the hot and sexy Jet but had no clue how hard it was going to be when she kept putting up walls and avoiding him. When Jets in trouble Eddie finally sees his in, protect her and she will owe him, now she will have no way to avoid him. Jet just can’t see how it will work when she’s just “Jet”, a normal boring girl with no life and tons of baggage and Eddie is such a hot macho alpha, he can have beautiful woman he wants. He’ll get bored and leave just like her dad. Loved this book and I can’t wait to read 5e rest of the series.

But, I can honestly say JET pissed me off A LOT. The whining and self loathing got old fast especially after Indy's great character. Story line was decent but, JET should of got over it faster in my opinion. Eddie had the patients of a saint.

This is the second part in Rock Chick Rescue. When I read Rock Chick I truly loved Indy and Lee story, i didnt know what to expect from the second book. But dang.. it was good. This one was abaut Eddie, he is a cop, totally gorgeous whic had a crush on Indy in first book. Well that crush ended when he setss his eyes on Jet, indy new employee. Jet has a secret, she is working two jobs and her Mother to care for after a stroke. She doesn't want to be a charity case so she is working herself to the limits. She sees herself as borring normal girl, she feels out of her league for those hot men which are part of Indy's crowd. But when her father came looking for some money, her life become anything but borring. That wass all Eddie needed, to come and to make the first step and help her. I loved the plot, the suspense and it made feel good, this book had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions. I like that this book is also standalone and it is full of action, drama, passion and a lot of funny dialogs. I am wey courious what will happen in the next book... I think they're the perfect way to start your KA addiction

Some of the situations seems to be impossible to have an out and yet the hot bunch always make it possible. After reading the Regret and Reckoning and now Rescue in this Rock chick's series, I lost interest in reading the others in series as the flow of the stories I read and mentioned above is redundant as it is already. Don't wanna waste more $$ in this series.

These were by far the least likeable kristen Ashley characters ever . We hardly get to know Eddie and Jet is an absolute idiot with her doodah, and low self esteem and inability to see past her own self absorbed insecurity. I read the whole thing because I am a die hard fan, but I really, really, really didn't like these characters. And nothing is really resolved in the end.

The story was pretty good and Eddie was a great character. But I did not like Jet at all. She ruined the book. She argued with everything and anything Eddie said and insisted they were going to end right up to the end of the book. She was an was so obvious from the beginning that he liked her but her insistance on being alone and doing everything alone ran her life to a degree that was unreal. Actually, Eddie wasn't very bright either... I don't know why such an awesome guy would put up with Jet's garbage for even one chapter, much less an entire book. I liked the 1st Rock Chick book alot...hope the 3rd is better than this one.
