I have been broken And put back together, in 100 little pieces As a butterfly I am happy And I can see the sun But once I was a chrysalis I won't forget You will change You will learn And things will not always be all that bad You will spread your wings.. Okay. This book was decent, and I enjoyed Violetshine's and Alderheart's chapters, so nothing wrong with the storyline and the characters there. But I was honestly wanting to skip Twigpaw/branch's chapters, they were so petty and hard to read. Twigpaw/branch is not a very smart cat, and she makes very stupid decisions that she always follows through with, not to even mention the fact that she thinks she can live in every Clan at once. Now, since I shouldn't give a review based on one character, I will explain why I am giving this book a four star review. The Erins have been recycling their ideas far too much recently (i.e. falling into border streams and getting caught/in trouble by the opposing Clan) and it was far too frequent in this book. The Darktail area of the arch was very original (for Warriors at least) and it was enjoyable to read. But now that he and his band of rogues has been cast out, the series had reverted to its old ways, constantly having apprentices "sneak through the dirtplace tunnel and beat the cat guarding the entrance" (power of three, omen of the stars, the prophecies begin, the new prophecy), "the clans must come together to survive (ending prophecy)" (dawn of the clans), "falling into border stream and getting caught by opposing clan" (power of three, omen of the stars), "sneaking out to meet someone from another Clan" (vision of shadows, new prophecy, omen of the stars), and it just goes on and on. Don't get me wrong, I've been a fan of this series since the early days. But this has gone too far. If things keep being recycled I'm honestly going to stop reading altogether. Put together all of that brainpower, Erins, because a lot of your readers depend on it.
