4 Star Review of Rescuing Sadie by Susan Stoker This is part of the current Lexi Blake Crossover Collection and written by Susan Stoker an author I am familiar with. I am a huge fan of Lexi Blake and happily admit that the Master & Mercenaries series is one of my all time favourite series. When I first started reading Rescuing Sadie I was rather confused as I felt that there was a whole back story that I had no idea about. Honestly, I felt like I had been dropped into a book half way through it. I subsequently learnt that in fact Sadie featured heavily in Justice For Milena and this book is in my opinion linked heavily to the previous book. Having said that I did enjoy the crossover the story as it was well written. I felt that I would have enjoyed it more if I had know the back story before reading Rescuing Sadie. Sadie being the niece of Sean Taggart is used to Alpha men who protect their family at all costs. Chase Jackson could almost certainly be a Taggart as he is cut from the same cloth. He is not afraid of a fight and as a Captain in the US Army has known danger on more than one occasion. The attraction and chemistry between Sadie and Chase is almost off the charts as Chase struggles to protect Sadie from Jonathan Jones. Will danger pull these two apart of will they work together to destroy those who are trying to keep them apart?

I really enjoyed Chase and Sadie. Their story was full of action, with a dash of emotions, and a sexiness running through it all. I felt a little like I was missing some pieces and the story was already started when the book began, but, the story was complete and everything was explained.

Although I do have Lexi Blake's series I haven't actually read it yet, saying that I have read all of Susan Stoker's books so I knew the lead up to this book. Jonathon's character gave me the spooks in Milena's story and I had a feeling then that we hadn't seen the last of him, now he's back. With Chase acting as bodyguard to Sadie and taking that seriously as well as the team all being around she is well protected. Suspenseful and very serious read with the only light moments really being little Annie being her adorable self, it had me on the edge of my seat to having tears in my eyes. I had just read Rescuing Brynn (I had missed that I hadn't already read that one) which was a couple of books before this one and it was still very fresh in my mind, that worked out to be quite a good thing in some ways. Cant wait for more of these hot alpha guys and their really strong women.

Chase fell for Sadie when they first met but never said anything. Sadie was in hiding and Chase was her body guard. Between the bad guy and good guys there was a twist maybe 2 but in the end you will have to read this story. Now I need to figure out which book I need to read to figure out how everything came to be.

Chase and Sadie. Wow! Sadie is being pursued by the crazy abusive pedophile that with his twisted father had held her and Melina hostage at their girls' school in Justice for Milena. Chase won't let the psycho near the woman he loves, but he can't do it by himself. Going to his Delta friends Fletch and Ghost for help and reaching out to Sadie's Taggart uncle Sean is necessary to take down the obsessed psycho. This is the stunning and dramatic end to one evil msn and the begining of Sadie and Chase's future together. Novella length, but lots of action and storyline between the covers.

This book! It is the best of both worlds! Susan Stoker did such an amazing job with Sadie. I loved her in Lexi's books and Susan did an amazing job! Case and Sadie have such amazing chemistry and I loved reading their love story. I loved that we see the vulnerable side of both Sadie and Chase, it does not diminish them but makes them stronger in the end. Add in suspense a hawt love scene and this book gets 5 stars! I have not read the other books in the Delta Force series but could follow along with the plot just fine. I cant wait to read the next book in the Crossover Series!

The last novella in this series and what a novella it was.   This is the only one where I think it would have helped to read the novel preceding it. In this case JUSTICE FOR MILENA. but I mostly got my head around the back story.   One thing I noted about all these novellas is that the love interests all knew each other previously it would have been to have one where they had just met.   Susan Stoker and Lexi Blake are two if my favourite novelists so it was great for them to cross over.

I'm a huge fan of Susan Stoker's Delta Force Heroes. I can't tell you how excited that Fletch, Emily, and Annie made an appearance in this one. They're my favorite characters so far in the series. I liked revisiting previous characters in the series. Reading this quick read gives you the feel of Susan's series along with the Lexi Blake crossover. I was kept on the edge of my seat to know when the bad guy was going to make his move. This book has action, heat, humor, and heart. It's definitely worth a read!

This novella book is a continuation of Susan Stokers Justice for Milena. That story has 2 parts. That one follwed up by this one. In this story, we see Sadie and Chase trying to find Jonothan (the baddies son from JFM). HE is still obsessed with Sadie...but why? How do you stop someone with so much hate and sickness inside? You call in the Delta Force team and the Taggerts (who just happen to be, i found out, top of the line assassins). So...with this much fire power behind her, why would Jonothan be so obsessed with her? The reason is GREAT!!! There is even a moment when Chase and Dane "Fish" Monroe know each other. They are both shocked to find out they Do in fact know each other! That is a GREAT part too. The ending is..just WOW!! that's all I can say...W O W ! ! ! ! ! You do NOT see it coming, and how SUsan Stoker writes it will just blow you away!!

3.5 stars! This is my first book I have read by Susan Stoker. We meet Sadie and instantly I like her. Her persona gives a "I don't give a f#$%", but when she need help, she knows when to back off. Chase is brought into the story to help protect Sadie. She has a special role and Chase is committed to make sure nothing happens to Susan. The drama was short filled, and knowing this was a Novella, I figured the story had to end quickly. Now if this was a full novel, I am sure I would have rated this a little more. The heat factor at the end was amazing! I loved the writing and plot in the story. It fits perfectly with this crossover!

This is the first book by Susan Stoker that I’ve read. I have to admit, I really enjoyed it. Sadie and Chase were a great couple that fit well together. I enjoyed the familial feel of the book as well as the abundant action. The book was well written, and kept me entertained. However, while the author did a pretty good job providing the back story, it kind of felt like I started reading in the middle of the story. This doesn’t feel like a stand alone, instead it feels like I should have read Milena’s story first.

Sadie is the receptionist at McKay-Taggart and the niece of Sean and Grace Taggart from Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercanaries series. When she goes to help a friend, she ends up in a life and death situation and is rescued by Chase but because of what happened while she was being held she is now being targeted by the man who was holding her hostage. From the moment Sadie ran into his arms after she escaped he knew that she would be his but she has a lot of healing to do. Things happened in that room that she hasn’t been able to talk about as she fears that he will look at her differently. He is able to breach the walls she has built around herself but her captor is not finished with her yet. For a novella this story is packed with suspense and action. The characters are well developed, their chemistry is hot and it was great to catch up with the previous characters for both series.

***5 Stars*** This novella definitely packs a punch! It had all the goodness I’ve come to expect from the author all wrapped up in a nice little bundle: sassy and strong women, hot Alpha AF males and a nice little touch of cray cray that even surprised me, but kept me turning the pages until the very end. I adored Chase and Sadie, I did. Chase is all kinds of Alpha AF male: Protective, honest and honorable. I loved how upfront he was with Sadie, even when she doubted him, and never wavered once. Sadie is one tough woman. She’s sassy, independent and yet knows when to accept help when it’s offered. What she went through would have broken most people, and while it has left its mark on her, she’s picked herself up and is working through it. Their journey to their HEA was a fun one. It is slow burn that is filled with a lot of sexual tension (that once it broke it was all kinds of hotness!), but considering the situation they found themselves in it totally worked. I enjoyed watching them open up to each other and found one of their disagreements to be quite interesting, and loved where they were at in the end. This really was a fun read and it can be read as a standalone even though it is tied to the events that happen in Justice for Milena. The author does a great job at getting you caught up with that situation so you can understand Sadie’s role in it. But I must admit that part of my enjoyment of this book was that it was set in the Delta Force Heroes world and getting to hang out with some of the characters from it was a lot of fun. DFH was my introduction to the author and is my favorite of her series. So, if you’re looking for a fun, quick read with great characters then this is a must read! ~ Copy provided by InkSlinger PR & voluntarily reviewed ~

Needless to say I have never read a Susan Stoker book that I did not enjoy. Always great storylines and the characters you want as friends. What I like most is that the old characters are always somewhere in the story even when new characters are introduced. I especially liked that Fish was brought into this book.i wish all 3 series could continue forever. Highly recommend this author. Mjw
