Overview

Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn't be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac "Fletch" Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can't stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety...and Fletch's peace of mind.

Being a single mother is difficult at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily's life a lot easier...until it doesn't. Suddenly all the money she's saving thanks to Fletch's generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn't go to bed hungry...leaving Emily weaker and weaker.

When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie...

** Rescuing Emily is the 2nd book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

I have to admit, as of late, I have not been very happy with Susan's books. I've kept buying because I loved the first series and kept hoping for her to get back to it.. she definitely has. I really enjoyed this one.

Loved this one in the series also. I thought the characters were developed well, but the fact that everyones parents are dead due to sudden tragedies is starting to feel unrealistic. I was ready to hate the "misunderstanding" portion of the story, but it was much more believable than I would have thought.

I've read others in series. This was lacking in character development.

Wow This is the second in this series, and I have read the first. But I have read other books from Susan and once you start reading they are hard to put down. A little girl make a group of men googly.

Nice characters, suspense, and romance. Little hard to believe in places.

Not big fan of military books but this one was well worth the read. I'm not sure of all the security stuff in the military but I do know some since I was a military wife this was a good book

Overall a good read. I liked the Characters very much ...only thing is I felt like there should of been more in-depth explanation and experience in the connections between friends. I kinda felt like it was all rushed a bit, even wen they declare their feeling for one another with ILY it was so nonchalant, like it wasn't a big deal but it should of been considering all they went thru.... But the story itself was a good read. I'd recommend

Children are not usually as adorable as Annie, however, a second book for the wedding is a rip off. These are short books and the wedding should have been part of this book. I lost some respect for the author for this ploy. With that said, I enjoyed this book but I won't buy the wedding book. The only other character I am interested in is Truck but the author has saved his book for last. If you wanted me vested in the rest of the team, you shouldn't have given Truck such an important place in the first two books and given some time for us to get to know something about Coach or any of the team so that we would want to read their books. Won't buy the other books, will wait for Truck.

I really liked this book! Cormac (aka Fletch) is just the right hero mix of alpha steaminess and Emily is a fairly strong-and stubborn-heroine. Annie..I simply loved her character! She is one precocious 6 year old with enough feistiness to give Emily gray hair..and I foresee a porch full of men and weapons lined up to meet her future dates... I appreciate that Emily and Fletch didn't fall into bed right away. Stoker spent some quality time trying to build a solid foundation for this couple and I think she did a smashing job! Rescuing Emily had a good balance of action and strategy, and just enough sexiness to keep me satisfied!

*ARC* Ahhh Just like her other series, this was the best. Loved it. Emily was looking for a new place to live were it is safer for her and her daughter Annie, Fletch is renting out the apartment above his garage which is were the story begins. A misunderstanding makes both of them turning away from each other but when things start to go bad Fletch steps up not only because he feels responsible but because he loves her and will do anything to protect those he loves. Annie was a fantastic kid, not whinny but brave and smart for her age and even if she liked to play with boy toys she still had those tough delta men eating out of her palm. Great story I think this was my favorite so far can't wait to read more of these delta men.

his is the second book in the series. This one pulled me in as much as the first one did. I liked seeing the members of the squad again. I was looking forward to Fletch's story because we were teased with tidbits in Rescuing Rayne. Annie, Emily's little girl is a precious gem. She brought so much to this book and her interactions with Fletch were priceless. Things are going pretty well for Fletch and Emily, but soon miscommunication causes a rift. Seeing Emily struggling when she didn't need to was so hard to read through. Of course the way Fletch responded shows you his true charter. Along with the romance and passion there is suspense that will just draw you right in. I can't wait for more from this series.
