Princess of Pain is my very first book of poetry. I have written poetry since childhood as a form of release I have found it at times very therapeutic. The first three poems are completely fictional, the rest is separated into 6 separate sections each section covering a different area of my life. Some of my poems have additional notes. Princess of Pain is a dark journey through homelessness, domestic violence, sadness/loneliness, anger, love and loss. At times this book can be very sad and negative at times it can be playful and humorous but at all times it is honest straight from my heart to yours

About the Author
I was born in Kent 1979, where I lived until I was 13, this is when my mum moved us both to Cambridgeshire, where I attended Neale Wade Community College until the age of 16 when I dropped out of sixth form to get a job (considering myself an adult !). At the age of 18 I ended a 4 year relationship with a genuinely nice man, only to end up dating a violent alcoholic for 6 years who nearly killed me. It was thanks to the support of good friends I got through this 1 of them moving in with me to prevent him breaking in as he had so many times before. After this I became homeless and was moved to a hostel in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. This is where I met my now husband Pete in 2004, We were married in 2005 and moved to Leicestershire in 2010. Which is where we have stayed ever since.
