As I was searching a Father's Day card for my friend two years ago, I discovered that there were no greeting cards intended for single parents. I began to search for children's books on the same topic, and, to my surprise, I could not find a single book that expressed the loving relationship between a single parent and his or her child. This small book aims to remedy that lack. It is my hope that this book will illuminate for you some of the tender moments that my friend and his daughter have shared with me.

Chapter One

Once upon a time, there was a princess named Lily. Princess Lily lived with her mother in a castle for five days each week. She loved her mother very much. She called her mother "Princess Mommy."

For two days each week, Princess Lily lived with her father, Prince Daniel, in a castle across town. Prince Daniel had a cat named Koko. Princess Lily loved her father and Koko very much.

Prince Daniel and little Princess Lily liked to play at the city's many playgrounds.

Princess Lily loved to play "chase the bubble" with her father and other children.

Prince Daniel taught Princess Lily to be helpful. She often helped her father feed Koko, and she always did a very good job!

Prince Daniel also taught Princess Lily many other things. He taught her how to meet new people, how to sing and dance ... even how to take out the trash!

After finishing their chores, they would sit down for tea time. Sometimes, Lily's friend, Princess Lulu and her favorite stuffed animals Lemur and Otter would join them.

After a long eventful day, Princess Lily was ready for a nap.
