Donald-Brian Johnson received his master's degree from Northwest University, and writes and lectures frequently on twentieth century decorative arts. Leslie Pina has a Ph.D. in American Studies and is happily retired after thirty years as a college professor. Both are the authors of numerous Schiffer books.

Don is amazing in digging out lots of fascinating details in all his books. This one is very close to my heart. The chapter on Jazz Baby is about my mother! Biased? Maybe. But it's still a very good read (and look).
