Lucretia Maria Davidson (1808–1825) was an American child poet made famous by her poetry, renowned beauty, and early death (her poetically inclined sister, Margaret, also died young). Lucretia wrote over 300 poems; collected here are more than 75 of her works along with a brief biography drawn in part from Lucretia’s mother’s memoirs.
