This is a great book. This covers 100% of the materials on the PMP Exam. Some of the questions on the PMP Exam are from materials outside if the PMBOK. This book covers EVERYTHING on the PMP Exam. The questions at the end of the chapters are challenging and very well written. Knowing everthing in this book Plus reviewing the Input, methodologies, and output in the PMBOK will give you an excellent chance of Passing the PMP Exam. With the help of this book, I passed the PMP exam. This Book can help you too. I would like to thank the author and the Publishing company for a GREAT book.

I kept putting off studying for the PMP exam, found I couldn't count on study groups to help (always schedule conflicts), and just reading the PMBOK wouldn't cut it. Previewed the book on the Books 24x7 site, liked what I read and bought it. The CD-ROM justifies the higher price than similar study guides. You need to get into the 'test taking' mode, become familiar with the style and tone of the questions, before you take the PMP. The book covers all 9 knowledge areas plus professional responsibility, and provides 25 practice questions at the end of each chapter (in addition to the exam on the CD). Test 'hints' throughout the chapters were helpful. The study guide chapter was useful (I modified the mnemonic: 'Victor Eats Carl's Sugar Corn. SEE Victor Talk Trash' to add the TCPI formulas) I had a few minor complaints, there were errors in printing/practice exam questions (same answer provided twice in same question), but overall without it I probably would have had a harder time taking the exam. NOTE: this book and PMBOK alone, while helpful, won't necessarily let you pass the exam. But, if you've had experience in project management for several years, they should be enough on their own. Don't spend money on other books or study guides - and don't count on study groups.

Great book - very easy to read and follows the PMBOK. I've used this book for my PMP, but also as a handy reference.
