About the Author

Meera Majithia is a specialist Indian and Interfaith wedding planner. She works closely with couples in the UK and worldwide, helping them to realise their vision of their dream wedding. As an award-winning wedding professional, Meera has featured widely in regional, national and international press and was one of the first in her industry to create an online wedding planning platform for brides.

She was bitten by the wedding planning bug at age 16, when she worked at one of the UK’s first specialist Indian wedding planning companies. After graduating in Management at undergraduate level and completing a Masters in Journalism, Meera combined her skillset and launched a wedding planning company. Carriages Weddings & Events was to be a wedding planning company with a difference, priding itself on offering beautiful, meaningful experiences. The one thing that all of Meera’s weddings have in common is that they are each unique to the couple at hand and to their story. This speaks to Meera’s core belief – that weddings should be personality-led, as originality never goes out of style.

In her spare time, Meera presents on the radio and frequently enjoys putting her vegan baking skills to the test.
