I, too, read the story off of her blog, but am buying a copy...There's just nothing like the way a real book smells and feels. Ree's storytelling is just like you've got your best friend you've known all your life sitting right next to you. Her "voice" comes through the pages witch such detail its amazing. Be prepared to NOT put this sucker down!

Sometimes the right book finds you just when you need it. The story of Ree and Marlboro Man is charming and funny and takes you back to that time and place in your memory when you met that someone who makes your heart flutter. Her writing style is witty and welcoming - felt like I was listening to her while cozying up in a warm kitchen, sharing a cinnamon roll. I highly recommend you block out some time to read this one cover to cover in one sitting!

I loved this book so much I want to make all of my married friends and relitives read it. Its a wonderful love story that made me laugh, cry, and fall in love with my husband all over again. She is very honest about her feelings for Marbrol Man and it shows how great they both are as people. Her outlook on life and experiences as a newlywed made me want to read the book again and again. She is a very inspiring writer and woman.

Since discovering Ree Drummond's blog The Pioneer Woman a year ago, I've found myself drawn into her life on the ranch. Ree is a talented writer who knows how to engage her audience. I can only hope that she has another book on the horizon. This story of her romance with Marlboro Man was romantic and at times hysterical. It's a book that once you start reading, it's hard to put down and I didn't. At the end there's a sweet surprise...Recipes.

This book is so hard to put down, many early mornings I'll wake up to find the bedroom light left on, my husband sound asleep and me having fallen asleep sitting up. It made order some more of Ree's books. Keep on writting!! I'll keep on reading, cooking, and watching her TV shows.

I have read this book 5 times now and could not put it down. A true love story where you feel as though you are in the story and experiencing exactly what she is. It is detailed in all the right places and yet she keeps it very classy. Love love love it!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and fun, yet I could feel the real emotions the author felt as she details her courtship with Marlboro Man. I could picture the events as they happened, and she holds nothing back. I would highly recommend this book!

I read this book because it was our Bookclub selection for the month. I doubt I would have read it otherwise. The book cover itself would have repelled me. And by not using the man's name, but calling him Marlboro Man over and over and over and over - literally drove me nuts. I wondered while reading if she was protecting his identity or something??? But, besides that, it was a nice love story and reminded me a little of myself during the courtship in my first marriage. Not much depth to this book, but definitely a summer light read.

This was one of the funniest, most entertaining love stories I've ever read. I really wish Ree would write more about her life on the Ranch! I fell in love with the Marlboro Man too!

I get that you want to fill a couple hundred pages for a book, but repeating the same block of description/feelings/starched shirts over and over again gets tiring. I started skipping pages towards the end because it was the same ol same ol. Sorry Ree I know you're a blogger turned author and I do enjoy your blog but this just didn't hit the mark.

Ree has such a way of cracking me up and making me feel so very normal! Honestly, even if you haven't been following her blog for years as I have, you'll still appreciate this beautiful love story.

Most of this book has been published on Ree's blog already, but it's nice to have a copy to read whenever I want, and to also read what happened AFTER the wedding. I'd LOVE a sequel (are you listening Ree?!) because their relationship seems very strong and loving. I'd like to know if she has any tips on getting through life's challenges still as much in love as she and MM still seem to be.

I found Ree Drummond's website accidentally one day and have been a fan of her ever since. I couldn't wait for her book to come out, and I pre-ordered it. It was an easy and fun read, but I felt that it ended abruptly. I am only hoping that this is because a sequel is in the works. Fun, clean reading. Thanks, Ree

When Ree Drummond thought of her perfect life, she never imagined it would be the complete opposite of everything she would do and be. Living the life of a city girl in a home that bordered the golf course, her days consisted of country clubs, dancing, and socializing with her girls friends over shopping trips until the day she looked across the bar and saw the cowboy. The complete opposite of all the previous men she had dated in the past and just at the time she was considering a move to Chicago and terminating a long standing relationship, she met Marlboro Man. He was a handsome cowboy wearing cowboy boots, Wranglers and salt and peppered hair. She found herself captivated in so many ways and when she walked over to talk to him, her life would change forever. The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree Drummond is her personal story of the love story between her and her husband that she affectionately calls Marlboro Man. For those of you who have never heard of The Pioneer Woman, then you need to read this heart warming love story of life on a cattle ranch and all the horror stories that went hand in hand with winning over her heart. Before I read this book, I knew Ree Drummond from her successful blog, The Pioneer Woman wear one will find anything from home schooling tips, to photographs of her life on the ranch, to the most mouth watering recipes anywhere in the world. But a world of caution, once you begin your journey, Ree will become your new best friend. She is a mix between Ethel Merman, Lucille Ball and a little spice from the South all mixed together for a perfect blend of fun loving lady underneath it all. As you read through her latest novel, you feel like your sitting with your friend over cinnamon rolls and coffee on her porch overlooking her cattle ranch as she tells it like it is, no holds barred, and that's what you will love. The same as her readers and fans from all over. She's a real down to earth lady with a heart of gold.I received The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels compliments of William Morrow, a division of Harper Collins Publishers for my honest review and just know that every woman that reads this will find a connection with Ree. The best part is that the book contains some of her infamous recipes that you can enjoy and fall in love with. This one rates 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion and for those of you that love a good romance with a whole lot of laughs along the way, then this is perfect for you.
