Messerly PhD is an Affiliate Member of the Evolution, Complexity, and Cognition Group (localized at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel), and an affiliate scholar of the Institute for Ethics & Emerging Technologies. He taught for many years at the University of Texas at Austin.
