About the Author

Daisy Alberto is a children’s book author who has written a number of Step into Reading and Stepping Stones titles, including A Horse and a Hero, Swiss Family Robinson, and Barbie as the Island Princess. Blanche Sims has illustrated scores of books for children, including the books in Patricia Reilly Giff’s Polk Street School series and those in the Oliver and Company series by Page McBrier. She lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
