Samhain. All Hallows' Eve. The most mystical night of the year. The time when the veil between the worlds became perilously thin. And with a full moon overhead, this awesome power reaches its climactic height.

Sorcha had no time for mystical nonsense - there were enough challenges in navigating the mine-field of her mother's vicious temper and the most important event of her young life. For, at long last, she had left Edinburgh to see the world. She and her mother were visiting the elegant city of Bath. Sorcha was wearing the finest dress she'd seen - and she was stepping into a life she'd only dreamt of.

But when Johnny's eyes meet hers, and jealous rivals vow revenge, that delicate layer between what is and what once was rips. It shreds like the fragile thread of one's life.

One Scottish Lass is the first novella in the regency time travel romance trilogy. The first two novellas end in cliffhangers, while the third provides a happy ending.

I realize it was a free book but very disappointed in Nook for not making it clear that it is NOT a complete story and Nook doesn't bother to make sure you can get the next nook. The first book ends on a cliffhanger. The second book is only available thru Amazon, NOT NOOK!!!!! Very disappointed in Nook.

It stops on a cliffhanger and you can't even buy the continuing story as an ebook. Not impressed either with the writer. Everything is rushed. Within a few hours in an evening and very little interaction between the main characters, Sorcha and Jonathan seem to have fallen in love. And why is she trying to paint Sorchas mother as this nice and lovable person when she was young? Anyone who is that selfish and mean to their own daughter must have been an awful person to begin with. I dont buy the character she is portraying

Great disapointment! It is only a start of story, not a short story

Not a complete novel. It's as short as a novella, yet there's no closure. The story just ends in the middle of an event,    therefore you have to buy the next story to complete the first. Glad this was free. This is not a trje trilogy. It's one story divided into three parts.

Looking forward to reading the next part! The only negative is the language the characters spoke is very 21st century. Would like to see it closer to how they would have spoken in the 1800's. Otherwise, a very good start to a very good series!
