Sometimes life just doesn’t seem fair. Have you ever had a day when . . .

your favorite pants shrunk in the wash?

your best friend was being a beast?

you were too short to go on the best ride?

no one would listen to you?

Well, take heart—you’re not alone. Everyone has one of those days sometimes. And even if you bowled gutter balls or your nice sweater made you itchy, at least there’s a bright side—a brand-new day is waiting for you tomorrow, and you can laugh at those days when they’re over.

Just One of Those Days is a very descriptive book about all the different kinds of bad days one can have. It goes from annoying sibling day, to gutter ball day, to last in line day. the illustrations in this book really seem to bring out the 'bad day' the author is trying to portray.I can really relate to this book and I am sure everyone else is able to relate to it to because we may not have had all of these different types of bad days but we have had at least one of them. this seems to be a very relatable book and i really enjoyed it.For classroom extension ideas i would have the students pick out one of the days described in the book and have them draw a picture of that one day without seeing the picture and then i would show the students the picture in the book for the one they had and let them compare pictures.I might also have the students draw picture about the kind of day they were having that day whether it be good or bad.

My 8yr old loved it - explains how some days are harder than others- and things don't always go exactly as you plan. Easy to relate to and funny. Cute illustrations and wording.
