This was a entertaining, second chance Romance that was so cute, fast paced read, that had a lot of heart, sassy and spunky dialogue and the perfect amount of heat. Loved it I loved Maisey Henderson and Tucker McCloud so much! The ease and the back and forth they had with each other, after all their time apart is delightful. I loved the pull they had, the great conversations and sassy, witty, dialogue. It had me hooked. They were just so fun together. I was so charmed by Tucker. I thought they were great characters and I loved all the tension and animosity between them. Loved the build to the heat as well, as these two just can’t stop thinking about the other. It was very swoon worthy. Don’t pass this story by! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nothing Without You is a short sweet second chance romance. I’ve got to be honest, Tucker is a bit of a douche, at the start especially as he had broken-up with Maisey when he went to college and has fully embraced the bachelor life ever since. Although, as the story progresses, so does Tucker’s emotional growth. The realisation that Maisey is the one and only person to ever own his heart and always will be. He only has to convince her of his sincerity before he has to return to his career on the other side of the country. I adored the strong independent woman Maisey was after having her heart and confidence shattered by Tucker when they were teens. Deep down Maisey knows she has never gotten over her first love and takes the opportunity to explore the older Tucker as a means of achieving closure or so she tries to convince herself. However, it is quickly obvious that all the old feelings she had for Tucker are quickly making themselves known. While the romance in Nothing Without You is believable and heart-warming; the obstacles to an ongoing relationship between Maisey and Tucker are not addressed and therefore leave a sense of incompleteness to the story as a whole. I felt as if the end was a little abrupt and open-ended leaving me wondering if Monica is going to provide us with more Tucker and Maisey in the future 3.5/5

NOTHING WITHOUT YOU is instalment 2.5 in Monica Murphy’s contemporary, adult FOREVER YOURS erotic, romance series. This is thirty-four year old, pro football player Tucker McCloud, and thirty-three year old, cake decorator / designer Maisey Henderson’s story line. NOTHING WITHOUT YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. FOREVER YOURS series is a spin-off from the author’s FRIENDS series. NOTE: NOTHING WITHOUT YOU is part of Kristen Proby’s BIG SKY cross over series. Told from dual first person perspectives (Maisey and Tucker) NOTHING WITHOUT YOU is a second chance romance between is thirty-four year old, pro football player Tucker McCloud, and thirty-three year old, cake decorator / designer Maisey Henderson. Tucker McCloud was Maisey Henderson’s high school sweetheart but a foot ball scholarship found Maisey on the sidelines, broken hearted and shredded when Tucker walked away without looking back. Fast forward to present day wherein Tucker McCloud is back in Cunningham Falls to celebrate his parent’s fortieth wedding anniversary, an anniversary that requires his interaction with our story line heroine. Still reeling from the betrayal and loss of her only love, Maisey struggles to see beyond the heart break and pain of years before. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Maisey and Tucker, and the potential fall-out as Tucker’s time in Cunningham Falls draws to a close. NOTHING WITHOUT YOU is a story of broken hearts and second chances. Tucker McCloud knows he screwed up years before, and getting reacquainted with the only woman he has ever loved forces Tucker to look at the bigger picture, now and for the future. The premise is captivating; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are colorful and energetic-the previous story line couples make cameo appearances.

This is a quick enjoyable read. I was drawn to this book because Maisey is a baker and Tucker is a football player. I do love sports heroes. I will be honest was not a huge fan of Tucker in the beginning, but he slowly won me over. I loved watching Maisey gain confidence in her craft of baking.

Maisey loves her job designing wedding cakes and she always made sure that the bride left her shop with the cake of her dreams. Living and working in her hometown was great, but sometimes she wondered what might have been. She had been crazy about Tucker in high school and they were inseparable. He had promised her the world but the minute he graduated, he left town and never looked back. Maisey’s heart was broken and she hoped their paths never crossed again. Unfortunately, Tucker was back in town and it was inevitable that she would run into him and if she did, she would be cordial but she would never forgive him. Tucker knew he had his work cut out for him when it came to winning Maisey back. He had always regretted how he left things and was afraid she would never forgive him. He may have met many beautiful women, but his heart had always belonged to Maisey, and now he had to convince her that she was the one for him. The is a wonderful story of first love, second chances and forgiveness. Everyone remembers their first love and how it made you feel. You kept going after it was over but wouldn’t it be amazing to relive all of your special moments? Maisey and Tucker were given that chance and their journey was romantic, hopeful and full of surprises.

I'm a sucker for a swoon-worthy second chance romance and that's exactly what you get with this read! Tucker and Maisey's story was one about rekindling that first love and realizing you never stopped loving the one........ the one that you let go when you should have been holding on tighter. I if you want a sweet, sexy quick read grab this book in the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection.
