How do you survive the loss of your first love? The author shares, in a style reminiscent of Rod McKuen, how he returned over and over after his divorce to the same Florida beach he once shared with his first love when they were teenagers. He walks and writes of his sorrow, and later his surprise of passion experienced with other loves on that same beach. He later placed those notes, in a bottle of sorts, which returned to him some thirty years later as a gift which he now shares with you.
