From the New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis comes an emotional and heartwarming women's fiction read about two wayward souls who find peace and home in each other.

Sophie Marren spent her entire life trying to please everyone, from her distant father to her demanding husband, nearly losing herself in the process. But after discovering she was the only person in her marriage to have taken their vows seriously, Sophie walks away with nothing except for the boat she got in the divorce settlement — hardly the ideal living arrangement for a woman who gets seasick in a bathtub. She knows she should sell it, move, and leave the whole mess behind her, but . . .

Sophie loves living in tiny Cedar Ridge, Colorado, and she's not about to let anyone take that from her, too. Especially not the handsome, intense former soldier who keeps trying to kick her off the dock of his lakeside cabin. As much as she wants to tell Jacob Kincaid to stick it where the sun don't shine, she senses he's dealing with struggles of his own, and she can't help being drawn in. But when secrets from her past resurface, will she be able to hold on to the life she's so carefully built?

3rd book in the Cedar Ridge series, bur can be read as a stand alone. Of the three books, I enjoyed Second Chance Summer with Aiden an Lily and now Jacob's story. Hud's story was okay, but didn't grab me like the other two. Love the rumor and tge character dynamics. A book I recommend.

4.5 Sizzling and Heartfelt Stars!! I loved this 3rd book in the Cedar Ridge series! It is a charming and heartfelt romance that really kept me engaged from start to finish. Jacob and Sophie meet as they are both trying to make their lives better after living thru different tragic events. They can see thru each others walls and can't help but be drawn together no matter how hard they fight it. They are opposites in so many ways who fit so perfectly together. Jacob is open, quiet and calm while Sophie is chaos with attitude but is also warm and thoughtful. She always goes toe-to-toe with Jacob and they both thrive on that. I loved Jacob and Sophie together. They challenge each other and have explosive chemistry, but is it enough to overcome their pasts? Ms Shalvis expertly weaved a multi-layered story with organic and honest characters that made you feel everything they are going through. There were lots of funny, awkward situations, witty banter, sweet and sizzling seduction, and also some heartfelt revelations as well. The whole Kincaid family are present and essential as some storylines are concluded and another is advanced making you feel apart of this fun, loyal and loving family. You will definitely want to read this!

AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall 4 Narration 5 Story 4 Jacob Kincaid discovers that the home he vowed to keep in the rear-view mirror is just the place to recover and heal, after all. After leaving Cedar Ridge as soon as he was able, joining the army and working his way up to be a Special Forces officer, a mission going pear shaped left him in crisis. Missing his army brothers and his twin, he’s not sure just what he needs from the world, so he heads home to a cabin on the lake to heal and regroup. What he never expected, or wanted, was a connection with someone else, let alone the woman living at the end of his dock. Sophie is reeling after a divorce: now finding her own feet after an abusive and controlling husband, no money, no real home but the boat, which she hates and is constantly seasick and she’s just never going to ‘go there’ with another man again. These two are adorable together – they both have so much to give and are the type of people you want to get to know and hang out with. While none of the story trajectory is particularly surprising, that is NEVER a hardship, because the chemistry and the banter just make you want to cheer for them to find happiness, preferably together. Narration for this story is provided by Karen White, and she just transforms the written words with her inflections, pacing and obvious enjoyment of the story. The second of this series that I’ve reviewed, both featured her as the narrator, and I have yet to not find her performance enhancing anything she presents. Both characters were clearly presented and distinct, and there were plenty of moments and situations that were simply laugh-out-loud. Shalvis writes a story that will transport you away, and White’s narration is the icing on the cake. I received an audiobook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Warm, fun, funny. A great read. Both have a lot to prove to themselves, to family, to each other. Jacob was everything he should have been. A great addition.

Once again, Jill has hit a home run with this story of Sophie and a Kincaid brother. I always love how their background stories work into their current relationships. I will always read anything written by Jill Shalvis!

Jill never fails to amaze me. This book is another winner. Jacob is a hottie and Sophie happens to annoy him in a good way. Jill has a way to grab your attention with her stories. I love her creative writing and can't wait for more of the Kincades stories. Grab this great book .

I loved and enjoyed reading the fabulous and fantastic contemporary romantic story by the amazing, talented author Jill Shalvis. I received an Advanced Reading Copy from Goodreads First Reads. Sophia Marren divorced her no good rotten, cheating husband, Lucas, and took the one thing he loved, his boat. Sophia hates living on the boat: seasickness, cold water, small space, and finding places to park it at night. Sophia is broke, works as a temp, taking odd jobs here and there, and can't even afford the nightly rate to park her boat. She finds an isolated dock, parks it for the night, and in the morning confronted by a hot, sexy man, Jacob Kincaid, telling her she can't park there. Jacob Kincaid is home on leave after losing a close friend in a mission. Jacob has not seen any of his siblings in years and wants to try to make amends. Sophia's first encounter with Jacob is when she throws up on him from her seasickness. As Jacob and Sophia spend more time together, sparks fly and feelings toward each other deepen. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written love story of Jacob and Sophia.

Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors, so naturally, anytime I find she has written something new, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Nobody But You is the third book in her Cedar Ridge Series, and is Jacob and Sophie's story. I can honestly say that I think Jacob is my favorite guy so far in the series. He's just got that mysterious hot bad body thing down to an art. He's been away for a long time, and after a tragedy, has decided to make things right with his family. What he didn't count on in the process was Sophie, but she was quite the feisty surprise. Sophie's been burned by her ex-husband and is very adamant, and terrified, to get into another relationship, as her last wasn't pleasant at all. She and Jacob have an immediate attraction, though the circumstances in which they met are.....well.....a little odd to say the least. As things progress, Sophie can't avoid Jacob, and the hot night they'd shared gets burning in her brain. What she didn't count on was falling for him. There romance is sweet and very steamy, and not without it's challenges, which they both have to overcome. One of my favorite parts is getting to see the rest of the Kincaid Clan all again in this installment. I just love them all and the family dynamic, dysfunctional as it may be, provides for some very entertaining reading. Jill Shalvis fans will definitely want to check this one out, as well as contemporary romance fans in general. Jill Shalvis has done a great job in providing her readers with yet another romance to devour.

Nobody But You is book three in the Cedar Ridge series by Jill Shalvis. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Grand Central Publishing, and by the author. You know, every book in this series is amazing. After each of the first two books I thought maybe that one was my favorite. After just finishing this book, I feel the same way. Wow, just wow! I just knew I was going to fall in love with Jacob…and I most certainly did. Jacob Kincaid has come home. He’s been in the military for ten years and has been forced to take some leave. He’s lost someone close to him and he needs some time to heal. Where better than to finally go home. Ten years ago all he wanted to do was get away from Cedar Ridge. Now all he wants to do is go home. He leases a cabin on Cedar Ridge lake. He’s going to face his family, he just needs to drum up the courage to do it. No one was more surprised than he was, though, to discover he wasn’t alone after all. A beautiful firey red head has her boat docked at his cabin. Sophie Marren has no where else to go. She is twenty five years old and all she has is this boat. She lost everything to her loser of a husband in the divorce. She didn’t want anything. Her ex-husband found it necessary to sleep with just about anything with legs in Cedar Ridge. But when the judge said Sophie needed to get at least something in the settlement, what better thing to take then what meant more to her ex than anything else, his boat. Now she is stuck with no money, no where to dock, and very sea sick. The cabin was empty as far as she knew so she had been docking there. But she soon realized that it was no longer empty but now inhabited by one very sexy military man. Neither Sophie nor Jacob want a relationship. Both feel like they are incapable of love. But they can’t fight the electric attraction between them. But it’s more than that. They seem to fill a void both of them were suffering. They brought warmth to each other, they made each other laugh, but at the same time, these two had bickering down to an art. “He believed in her, without question, when he had no reason in the world to do so.” Jacob was patient, and he would give Sophie the time she needed to accept what was happening between them. Sophie fought it all the way. She couldn’t let herself fall for him. “I can’t think in your presence.” “Why not?” “Because looking at you is like…it’s like walking down the chips and cookie aisle at the grocery store. I can’t resist you, and then I’ll forget why you’re bad for me.” The reunion between Jacob and the rest of the Kincaid family I have so grown to love both made my eyes water and warmed my heart. There were lots of twirly tummy feelings involved. Without him, this family was broken. With him, they are once again a complete unit. “She’d told him she couldn’t fall, not ever again, and yet she was seriously doing just that.” This book was just perfection. The love story between Jacob and Sophie was sexy, funny, and heart breaking. These two found each other when love was the last thing they wanted, but what they needed most of all. So, if you haven’t started this series yet, start at the beginning, and get to know the Kincaid family. I hope you’ll fall in love with them just as I have. I know I won’t forget any of them anytime soon.

You know how some books just leave you with a glow? This is one of those books... “We going to argue about this?” he asked. “Don’t we argue about everything?” “Good point,” he said. “Let’s settle this one like adults— in the bedroom, naked.” NOBODY BUT YOU by Jill Shalvis is pure contemporary romance perfection! The ONLY thing that could have made it better would have been if I'd listened to Karen's rendition of it; I hope to enjoy it again when that occurs. Yes, it was that good. Set against the gorgeous Rocky Mountains in the small town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado, this is the story of Army Special Forces Officer Jacob Kincaid and recently divorced Sophie Marren. It is told from the third person point of view. It seems that love is in the air at Cedar Ridge always. All the characters are completely endearing, realistic and captivating. I have been looking forward to Jacob's story since I started the series with Hud's book and the telling does not disappoint. Jacob is hotter than hot. All the Kincaids have been worried about Jacob as he's not been heard from since he walked away after an argument with Hud, his twin, over ten years ago. Now, Jacob has come home while on forced leave, leasing a quiet cabin on the lake, with the objective of setting things right with his family. He did not plan on meeting a woman who would rock his world. Jacob suffers from post traumatic stress from his military service and the author addresses it in such a caring way that it adds to and never detracts from the romance. Something in him somehow connects and sees the stress internalized by Sophie from their first hilarious encounter. Sophie is in dire straits, living on a boat that is her only remaining possession and that she utterly despises, having had her life pulled out from under her. Jacob and Sophie are each such broken individuals that they fit and, together, they make each other somehow better. However, Sophie has written off men entirely and erected a very high wall around her heart. I have read this series out of order and can attest that each of the books works well as a standalone without any difficulty if that is your preference. There's lots of interactions with previous favorite characters, including all the Kincaids, which will thrill fans of the series, but the story can be thoroughly enjoyed without having ever read any of the other books. Feel free to dive into the series with whichever book snares your fancy. Everything seems to be tidily wrapped up with this series as all the Kincaid brothers have now found their mates and their sister is engaged. I hope that NOBODY BUT YOU is not the final book in this wonderful series and that there will be more Cedar Ridge books in the future. But, if it is the final, the series has certainly gone out with a spectacular bang. You know how some books just leave you with a glow? This is one of those books... overflowing with laugh-out loud humor, snarky banter and oodles of sexual chemistry. Jill is one of my very favorite authors. Her books at always highly entertaining and they never fail to leave me with a huge smile on my face. There is nothing that falls short in NOBODY BUT YOU. I highly recommend all the books in this series as they are all funtastic. My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there! 5 Wine Glasses!

Jill Shalvis gets that even in a small town life has its challenges. Sophie Marren is dealing with the challenge of starting over. She has made some poor choices in the past, her ex-husband and the decision to take his boat in the divorce. But she is moving on and trying to make better choices. Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid, yes one of those Kincaids, is trying to make better choices too. Not that serving his country was a bad choice but the way he left things with his twin and the rest of the family is on him and he needs to figure out how to make it right. Sophie and Jacob may just be the best thing that has happened to each of them now if they could get out of their own way. Nobody But You is the latest from the queen of small town romance and a must read.

I wish Jacob was real and liked fat, old, bleach blondes! Jacob is just the perfect man. I really enjoyed everything about him. Sophie was in trouble and trusted no one. She and Jacob met and began their battle of wills at once. Sophie planned to resist Jacob; what she didn't plan was their explosive chemistry. You don't want to miss this book!

"Nobody But You" is written by Jill Shalvis, and it is the 3rd book in her Cedar Ridge series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Jacob Kincaid and Sophie Marren. Recently divorced, Sophie has the one thing her ex-husband truly loved and was his prized-possession... his boat, "The Lucas" (which Sophie will later change to "The Little Lucas"). Problem is, she despises this boat and gets motion sickness. She lost everything because of her ex-husband, so she has no choice, but to live in the boat. She just needs to moor somewhere, but as it turns out, she moors the boat at Jacob's dock. Jacob just wants some peace and quiet. He just came back to Cedar Ridge from his tour of duty. He approaches Sophie to tell her that she can't moor on his property. She does move her boat but to his surprise, he finds her moored on his dock again the next day. Sophie is stubborn, gorgeous, and feisty. He can't help, but be attracted to her. And he can't seem to get this gorgeous redhead out of his mind. Sophie can't believe her luck. She later learns that she's employed at the resort Jacob's family owns. But even though Jacob and her bicker often, there is that attraction that neither of them can't deny. Sophie and Jacob were fun, and boy, were they hot! There were just so many scenes between the two of them that I absolutely loved! One scene that stood out to me was the scotch scene! That was a hoot! Without giving too much away, their past does come into play. Sophie has trust issues, and it's hard for Jacob to learn to love. Will they get past these issues and realize that maybe finding happiness and love is standing right in front of them? I'm a huge fan of Jill's books! I've read so many over the years, and I can honestly say that Sophie and Jacob are one of my favorite couples that Jill has ever written! I genuinely enjoyed them! They were vulnerable and had their share of insecurities, but they were strong characters. They willed their way through tough situations, and they were always there for each other. They're the type of couple you just want to root for. Simply put, "Nobody But You" is a must read! You're not going to want to put this book down!

Sophie Marren’s life is a disaster; she has lost almost everything, except the boat she’s living on, which she asked as a divorce settlement from her ex-husband. She’s back in Cedar Ridge, Colorado, but she has to move her boat every so often because a hot guy keeps telling her she can’t park, er, moor, anywhere she chooses. Said hot guy is Jacob Kincaid, who is on leave from the Army; his best friend died, it knocked some sense into him, and he realises he has a lot of making up to do with his family. And when he meets the gorgeous redhead living on her boat, he knows that not everything is going to be all bad. Right upon meeting Sophie, Jill Shalvis’ unmistakable sense of humour comes out in full force, and I knew that NOBODY BUT YOU was going to be great fun. I love Sophie: she is very easy to relate to, she’s a bit sarcastic; she’s had a rather rough life, and she’s at a crossroads. She barely makes ends meet, and to top it all off, she’s seasick. Jacob is a wonderful character, in spite of his shortcomings. Neither Sophie and Jacob is looking for love, and yet it finds them. Both of them have families with quite complex dynamics. I love how Ms. Shalvis weaves Sophie and Jacob’s stories, and how it all explains how they became what they are today. The chemistry between them gives off serious sparks – in several ways! – but connecting proves very difficult, in spite of their strong mutual attraction. NOBODY BUT YOU is one of Jill Shalvis’ most powerful stories, carefully crafted, with very complex characters that take you through the gamut of emotions. The Kincaids are a fascinating family, they feel authentic; no one is perfect, there is tension but they really work at togetherness. Ms. Shalvis is famous for her sizzling love scenes, witty dialogue and hilarious passages, and all of them are plentiful in NOBODY BUT YOU. This book features some of the author’s strongest characters ever, and it’s hard to believe but Jill Shalvis is getting even better; NOBODY BUT YOU is yet another excellent book in this great series. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am not as familiar with author Jill Shalvis' work as I'd like but that is about to change. Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for approving my request. Nobody But You introduces Sophie and Jacob. These two people have been through hell and back individually but circumstances put them within each others path when each needs friendship and a helping hand. There are some authors that take forever to get the ball rolling and needlessly drag out a story, Ms. Shalvis gets right to the point. Nobody But You is a story that needed to be told. Through the hard times two broken people found something special. Life is not always pretty, love is never easy but finding happiness makes it all worth it in the end.

Another beautiful story with a great plot by an expert author. Whenever I'm looking for an excellent romance story I know the author to turn to. What a blessing that Jason and Sophie found each other and was able to work out their differencies. LA-TXN

Jill Shalvis does it again! She creates another community where I want to live. Her characters are real, likable ---- or not! This is another story about the Kincaid family, related through their philandering, cheating and irresponsible father. Army Special Forces Jacob Kincaid left after a fight with twin Hud years ago. When Jacob’s best army friend is killed, he realizes he needs to come home to the Colorado mountains and Cedar Ridge. He needs family. He quietly rents a cabin on the lake. He knows it won’t be easy to mend the family rift, especially with Hud. Sophie Maren's cheating ex-husband has left her broke, no car, no job and no apartment. She gets her revenge by taking possession of his boat. But it isn't all smooth sailing. She gets seasick and has to find moorage every day. She can't afford the daily fees, but there is that abandoned cabin on the lake with a dock ..... Both Jacob and Sophie have problems with family and self- worth. Once they meet, the sparks and tempers fly. I enjoyed the book. Jill Shalvis evokes fun, laughter, tears, heartache and more emotions in her books. Love them!

This is the third book in the Cedar Ridge series and so far it is my favorite. Jacob Kincaid is Hud's twin, from the second book in the series My Kind of Wonderful. Jacob left home at eighteen after having an argument with his brother, entered the Army Special Forces, and didn't speak to his brother again. He returns from a mission, having lost his best friend and brother in arms, and wants to go home to Cedar Ridge and reconnect with his family, and reunite with his brother Hud. Jacob rents a home on a lake and finds Sophie, recently divorced and hating men, illegally moored at his dock. Sophie and Jacob have an immediate connection. She is wacky, funny and out there, and he is honorable and quiet, and solid. As the Cedar Ridge series has developed, the characters have grown and are well fleshed out. Sophie is a new character, just having moved to Cedar Ridge, but Jacob's back story has been developed fully in the previous two books. When we are finally introduced to him, we don't need any explanation about his feelings for his family, but as the author gives us more insight, we are rooting for him to connect with his brother just as much as wanting him to fall for Sophie. Sophie is so much fun to read about! She so desperately wants to protect herself from hurt again, but also wants to live life fully and partake in all that is Jacob. Her interactions with him are hysterically funny, the clown to his straight man. He even admits at one point in the book that he likes sitting back and watching her, that he doesn't need to be the center of attention, the perfect complement to each other. The story keeps a certain level of tension because we know that Jacob's time is limited in Cedar Ridge. He has to report back for his final mission. This makes his time with his family and Sophie even more valuable. I wanted him to hurry up and make up with his brother and also to get Sophie to realize her feelings for him, but didn't want the pages to turn too quickly because I was enjoying the story so much. It was so wonderful to be fully engaged with a great Jill Shalvis novel again. As I've said in my previous reviews of this authors books, her Lucky Harbor series is amazing, and I have missed reading new novels from that series, but after reading this novel, I may have found its replacement! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is the third book in Jill Shalvis's Cedar Ridge series. I loved this book, it fell right in line with the other books in the series. Jacob Kincaid is back with his siblings after being away for so many years. This was a great book, seeing him try to re-enter the family at their resort. After having words with his twin Hud years ago he left & entered the military. He knew his place & abilities in the military but not so much with the family. And with Sophie, she is a hot mess after being recently divorced. Jacob & Sophie help each other heal while working on their relationship. Sophie is living in her ex-husband's beloved boat & mooring it at Jacob's dock. Sophie does temp work & has helped the Kincaid's at different events they host at their resort.

Reviewed by Annie and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog It seems like Shalvis has maybe saved the best for last. While I enjoyed the majority of this series, I always find that Shalvis keeps her best stories saved for the third book in every trilogy. NOBODY BUT YOU is no exception. Jacob Kincaid is the twin brother to Hud who we’ve seen in the previous books. Before this we don’t really know much about Jacob apart from the fact that he left Cedar Ridge years ago. When he is on leave from the Army, he returns to his small town to try and mend the troubles between him and his brother. However, Jacob is finding it harder than he first let on. Meanwhile, he encounters a fiery redhead who has just been separated from the cheating man in her life. Their meeting is very cute and classic Shalvis. Therefore, I was immediately sucked into this story. Jacob struck me as the perfect hero. He’s a little more on the quiet side with his own set of demons riding him. However, he’s very vocal when he needs to be. Especially when it comes to getting what he wants. I really, really loved his character. Sophie Marren was also a delight. Although she has sworn off men, she has this endearing quality to her that made her easy to like. And she isn’t as self-destructive as I thought she would be when it comes to falling in love. The only thing I wasn’t completely sold on is the family drama. This isn’t new for this particular series. Shalvis has been building up to this point over the other books in the series but seeing the way that the family interacted and knowing Jacob’s stance on everything from the beginning, I didn’t think the conflict had to be dragged out for so long. I much preferred seeing them all happy and together. Finally. There is one that thing I do want to mention about this book. While there were times when I felt like Shalvis hit everything right on the head, there were several scenes in the book that came across as a bit clichéd or perhaps a little choppy. I felt that some of the ideas that the author had for some scenes weren’t carried out to the best of her ability. I know what Shalvis is capable of and I feel like she either didn’t believe in it or it didn’t translate as well on paper than it did in her head. So while not perfect, it’s pretty close! NOBODY BUT YOU is definitely my favorite of the series!

I've looked forward to Jacob's story since reading the first in this series. It was fun, funny, had drama and conflict, and was full of sweet, sexy scenes. I could help but shake my head at Sophie and Little Lucas, but liked how it all turned out in the end. Only problem I had with this story was toward the end and the military time away and communication. It doesn't ruin the book and I won't spoil it, but as someone who served, it stood out to me and took me out of the story. But again, it didn't affect the story. Overall, this is a great read and a fantastic addition to the series! Looking forward to reading more!
