Simplistic writing but a good mystery

I read this in 2 hours! Everything about it was good! I am going to get the next one.

Was for a teen reading. Very cheesy and couldnt finish it. Didn't really like it. too high schoolish.

It started out fun and quickly went south. I knew exactly what was going to happen in the first few chapters. The constant use of the exclamation point drove me crazy. There was too much repetitive information. Won’t be reading anymore of this series.

Someone said it was predictable, and in some ways it was, but in a good way I think.
The fun part was how all the predictability played out during the course of the story. And that was enhanced by the way comments by the main character where inserted between paragraphs of action.
A good story very well laid out and implemented.

#1 best selling author? Since it's self published I guess she can be her own best selling author. I'm glad I didn't pay for this. Not only is the writing juvenile and weirdly over dramatic, she is also clueless about legal procedures. No one EVER is arrested for killing someone and bailed out so quickly. There has to be at a minimum a court hearing with a judge setting bail. And, really, after Todd became ill, who did not immediately remember the switched dinners? The characters were crudely constructed and totally unlikable. I doubt that even a professional editor could make this marketable.

Olivia and Todd go to Key West for a holiday. Todd proposes to Olivia. Todd soon ends up dead. From here the story unravels some twists to keep you guessing. I wanted to keep reading to find the ultimate answer to this mystery.

I knew two chapters in how it would end. I wished it had ended differently. Also, not realistic in that a police department doesn't let random people start working a case. Oh well.

Whirlwind romance for Olivia, a job in publicity, meeting Todd, working in venture capital. If he purposed she'd say yes, layers untouched of what they didn't know about each other, haven't met families either. A crisis during the night, did he take drugs, medicine, she didn't know. His family comes, they don't believe her. Even her best friend Allison, felt uneasy about him. The hotel and restaurant have had some other happenings
What was going on, a tense thriller to the end. A good read for all to enjoy. This is another winner for Jaden, and I will be looking forward to more in this series. Having read and re-read her Caribbean mystery series.
