A teen develops a gambling addiction in this risk-heavy read—in trade paperback for the first time.
Sixteen-year-old Denn Doyle’s troubles begin with a seemingly harmless—and extremely profitable—game of poker with some neighborhood kids. Eager to join the adult world, Denn realizes that casinos and poker are a means to do exactly that. His “hobby” progresses to a habit and then to an addiction that threatens relationships with his parents, girlfriend, and best friend. Hautman explores the escalation of Denn’s gambling without preachiness, dealing with his problem in a straightforward and knowledgeable manner.

This book has basically everything money, cards, a Camero, and a kid getting hit by a bus. It is a quick read that continuously grabs your attention. No limit was more realistic then what I was first lead to believe. It gives you an idea of what would happen if you were to have the same problem as Dennis. Dennis Doyle is a very interesting character for the reason that he goes through a drastic change in lifestyle and refuses to admit that he has a problem. In the beginning Dennis seems happy and content but throughout the novel Dennis begins to lose his self into the cards. As said in the novel each hand is a new chance and all Dennis wants is another chance.
