Don't marry into murder...

Catering her childhood friend's beachfront wedding was a dream come true for Everly Swan—and, with hundreds of guests in attendance, great exposure for her new iced tea shop and café. But when the well-to-do groom is found floating facedown in the surf, the locals of Charm, North Carolina, turn their suspicions to his new bride. Could she have been so desperate to lay her hands on his fortune that she arranged for his murder before they even set off on their honeymoon?

Everly knows her love-struck friend couldn't be behind the murder, but with clues pointing in several directions, she can't decide which wedding guest is the most likely culprit. Meanwhile, the frustratingly handsome Detective Hays has made it clear that Everly should stay out of the investigation altogether. But with a killer on the loose and a feeling that someone is watching her café very closely, Everly knows that if she can't solve this murder soon, her cake might be iced for good.

The second book in Bree Baker's popular Seaside Café Mystery series, No Good Tea Goes Unpunished is a delightfully deadly cozy mystery perfect for fans of Joanne Fluke and Kate Carlisle.

Everly Swan is in over her head when she helps an old school friend with her wedding on the beach. With at least one hundred guests to feed, Everly thinks it can only be good for her Iced Tea Cafe. Soon after the wedding the rich husband is found dead in the water. Everly invites her friend to stay with her in the apartment above the cafe while she figures out what to do with her life and her husband's lucrative tech business. Everly must find the killer and clear her friends name, even with a reporter following her every move. This is a fast paced story with lots of suspects and twists. I really enjoyed following Everly as she discovered clue after clue, even as it put her own life in danger. this series is a must read. I have pre-ordered the next book and hope there are many more to come.

My first Seaside Café book and I can't wait for the next! Not only does it involve my favorite type of drink (tea in any form except may Chai) but the savory recipes and of course all that makes a cozy great! Everly is the perfect character, with a little spunk and a whole lot of personality to go with her shy insecurities. I don't understand how anyone who let her get away and broke her heart could possibly think that they should get a second chance. This is one country song that isn't going to be played in reverse, not when the handsome Detective Hale is around. Oh and of course Everly is ever busy working to improve her home/business, help her friend Amanda stock the little libraries (I LOVE when an author uses their story to inform), and help her bee keeping Aunts in spite of the bee phobia. Yet she still makes time to brew herself a little bit of trouble by asking questions and looking for the killer. Nicely written Ms. Baker, I had completely forgotten about one character until it was almost too late! Everly is a great heroine and I look forward to trying those recipes and seeing how her life and adventures progress!

NO GOOD TEA GOES UNPUNISHED is an entertaining brew of mystery and mayhem. A perfect cozy mystery. Author Bree Baker has what it takes to readers enthralled in her stories. There was so much going on in NO GOOD TEA GOES UNPUNISHED! From the murder in the first chapter until the reveal in the last, this book was packed page after page with excitement. There are assaults, threats, and warnings. The killer was trying so hard to tie up loose ends. I never knew what to expect from one chapter to the next. Seriously, there were times when I didn’t realize I was holding my breath! The scenes that aren’t harrowing are full of fun, and sweet moments. I adore every character in this series, especially Aunt Clara and Aunt Fran. Their scenes always make me at the least smile, at the most snort with laughter. The same with protagonist, Everly. Some of the things she says and thinks crack me up. Her fear of bees amuses me to no end. Not her fear itself, but the way she talks about it. I was so excited when this book was finally released. I loved the first one so much. Now I can happily say I love NO GOOD TEA GOES UNPUNISHED as well!

The follow up to Live and Let Chai was worthy of being it's successor. I had already fallen in love with the main characters, and fell in love with them even more in the second book. The story was great, and the mystery had me baffled until the reveal. I've never been to the Outer Banks of NC, where the books are set, but my goodness it sounds like such a lovely place. I hope to visit someday, although it is kind of sad that Everly's tea shop isn't real! I highly recommend this book, and series, for any lover of a good cozy mystery. And don't be surprised if you find yourself with a hankering for some iced tea! *5 Stars

This was a great cozy mystery that had all the pieces that make a great light mystery read: a quaint small town, a cast of quirky characters, and a hunky detective with romance potential. Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and well written. The mystery drew me in and though I figured out the murderer fairly early on I still enjoyed the story. I also loved the little details the author included such as the kinds of tea and food Everly was preparing. I hadn’t read the first book in the series but I don’t think it detracted much from my enjoyment of this one at all. I will certainly be looking for this authors next book!

This story has characteristics that make a great cozy mystery: small town with fun, quirky characters, beach setting, and hunky, protective lawman. Everly Swan has returned to her hometown of Charm, North Carolina on the Outer Banks and has opened a successful tea shop and cafe' in her dream home. Judy, one of her friends from high school has hired Everly to host her wedding reception right on the beach in front of Everly's home. judy's new husband is Craig Miller, a wealthy entrepreneur. Everything is going well until the he receives a phone call and leaves to take it but never returns. Everly and another friend, Amelia, are walking on the beach when they spot his body in the surf. They try to do CPR but it is too late. Soon after, a former girlfriend of Craig's shows up shocking everyone saying that she wanted to stop the wedding because she still loves him. Handsome Detective Grady Hays steps in and starts investigating all the possible suspects including the bride, the ex-girlfriend, business partner and others. No one is allowed to leave town until the crime is solved. The detective warns Everly to stay out of the investigation especially when numerous crimes seem to take place around the beach house and Everly but she can't stop herself even though it appears that someone is after her. There are great characters to add some depth to the story with Everly's aunts, Clara and Fran, shop owners and beekeepers along with other townspeople and a nosy NY Times reporter there to cover the wedding but hoping for a news story. One unsavory cowboy who is Everly's ex-boyfriend returns to town for the local festival, Summer Splash, and would love to rekindle their relationship even though he was the one to break it off. Everly is not interested but he is hanging around quite a bit inserting himself. Maybe there is a future relationship between Grady and Everly. I kept pulling for them. I am looking forward to another in the series, hopefully. I received a complimentary ARC from Sourcebooks Landmark through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Hosting a sunset beach wedding for a former childhood acquaintance, Everly Swan is happy with the way things have turned out. Until the groom is found floating in the surf during the reception. When the bride shows up with the bloody knife, the question is whether she’s a grieving widow or a black widow who just got rid of her wealthy husband. Everly doesn’t believe the bride killed the groom at their wedding reception, but there are so many suspects with all the out of town guests. Before she knows it, Everly seems to have attracted the murderer’s attention, and threats, and vows to solve the case before she becomes the next victim. Set in the seaside town of Charm, NC, this series is based on the Swan family, women who fled the witch hunt of Massachusetts and settled Charm. Not a paranormal series, but definitely a cute spin off on the premise. Enjoyed reading this first introduction to the series, which was a great standalone, and look forward to being CHARMed again in the near future.

Everly Swan has moved back to her hometown of Charm, NC to run a café that specializes in different kinds of tea. Everly is hosting her friend’s wedding reception when she finds the groom stabbed to death on the beach just after the nuptials. Everly wants to help solve the murder against the wishes of handsome the sheriff. With a colorful cast of characters and a small town setting where everyone knows each other, No Good Tea Goes Unpunished by Bree Baker is a really fun cozy mystery. This is the second novel in Baker’s A Seaside Café Mystery series. I received an ARC of this book without reading book one. You didn’t need to read the first book to have an understanding of what was going on. The second book reintroduced us to characters from the first book, but kept the second story moving. I look forward to reading book one and for book three to be released. The story kept me engaged and moved fast which I love! I didn’t figure out who the murdered was until it was revealed so that made this book all the better. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves cozy mysteries or anyone who wants to try them out. Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Cozy Coastal Island Mystery This wonderful mystery is the second in a series. This is a well done, full-length cozy mystery with a helping of romance and good recipes. There are plenty of suspects, lots of fun in the sun and more mayhem than you could imagine. For a cozy mystery, it kept this reader on the edge of her seat but did not cause nightmares. I plan on reading the entire series. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.

Everly Swan has a new iced tea and café shop in Charm, North Carolina. She also has a dream gig, catering her best friend’s posh wedding, which is sure to get her noticed. But, then the groom is found floating face down in the ocean, and Everly’s best friend was holding the knife. Everly knows that her best friend isn’t capable of murder. So, who really did it? Is anyone else in danger? Detective Hays doesn’t want Everly to get involved. Especially, after what happened last time. Is it even possible for Everly to not get involved? This is a fun, light, cozy mystery that fans of Bree Baker, Vivien Chien, Kirsten Weiss, and Alan Bradley will enjoy. There is enough detail to get you engrossed in the mystery and on the edge of your seat. And, as a bonus there are even a few recipes to try at the end of the book!

This cozy mystery is light and FUN. Everly runs an ice tea shop and café on the North Carolina coast. She lives in a historic home in a seaside community so charming it’s called, Charm. She has her dream business in her lovely hometown and has been asked to cater her childhood’s friends rather large beachfront wedding. Things couldn’t be better! But the wedding doesn’t go off without a hitch. The groom never makes it down the aisle. Instead, he is found lifeless in the surf. Suspicion’s surround Everly’s friend. More than one wedding guest had motive, however. Everly needs determination and some clever sleuthing to find the real culprit and clear her friend’s name. Everly is a great protagonist and the story line kept me engaged. The mystery was well plotted. This is the second book in the Seaside Café Mystery series. Although I missed the debut book, this one stood on its own.

Imagine living close to the beach in Charm, North Carolina where you can relax and sip iced tea made fresh daily in Everly Swan’s Sun, Sand & Tea Seaside Cafe. It’s as wonderful as it sounds until a beachside wedding ends in the groom’s mysterious murder and the bride’s dress soaked and bloodied. Everly wastes no time checking into the grooms past to see if she can figure out who may have had it in for him. This exciting cozy mystery is steadily paced; the cast of characters entertaining; and the mystery engrossing. This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first one. Everly’s great aunts—Clara and Fran—provide chuckles throughout the storyline. An entertaining cozy mystery to read and relax with anytime. The author shares delicious recipes for readers to make at home. I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Sourcebook Landmark. Thank you.

The happily ever after did not even make it through the wedding reception when the groom is murdered and the new bride is seen with the murder weapon in her hands. Everly Swan, tea shop owner, was responsible for the reception and now feels responsible to solve the mystery but as some of her suspects become victims she gets more confused about what is really going on. This story pulls you in immediately with an enticing island setting in North Carolina and an interesting cast of characters. The murder occurs very early in so it will give you a lot of time to use your detective skills to figure out who did it but it will not be obvious. The teasers about the future of these characters leave me looking forward to A Seaside Café Mystery #3. Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for an ARC of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.
