When a beautiful wedding gown mysteriously appears in her bedroom one morning, Olivias thoughts return to marrying her true love, Daniel, who is fighting with the Irish Brigade on the frontlines in Chancellorsville. But as the war rages on, and battles draw nearer, her home, family, and dreams are threatened by the over spill of violence. Her family must make the ultimate sacrifice, all for love and libertyall for Olivias wedding.
Joy Ross Davis is of Irish descent and a student of the lore and magic of Ireland. After a twenty-five year career as a college English professor, she traveled to Ireland and worked as a writer and photographer, publishing numerous articles and photos for a travel agency. During her months in Ireland, she traveled the northwest counties and found friends along the way, many of whom had ancestors who immigrated to the States and fought in the Civil War in the Irish Brigade. She holds a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and lives in Alabama with her son and beloved dogs.
