Overview

At the ripe old age of 87, Ennio Morricone has been active as a composer for an incredible six decades. To celebrate what the man himself described as "an extraordinary moment in my 60th professional anniversary year," Decca will release Morricone 60, a compilation encompassing his long career and featuring new recordings of his classic film scores by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Included are favorite selections from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West, as well as his score for Quentin Tarantino's western The Hateful Eight, for which Morricone won his first Oscar in 2016. ~ Simon Spreyer
