In the latest installment of Ann B. Ross's New York Times bestselling series, Miss Julia takes a trip to the beach, only to confront a hurricane roiling off the coast—and all the trouble it washes ashore

Miss Julia's sweet and generous husband, Sam, has decided to take a big group trip to the beach, inviting family and friends. While Miss Julia prepares for the big trip, her longtime friend LuAnne comes to her with a horrifying discovery—her husband may be cheating on her. Julia invites LuAnne along to the beach to get away and clear her head—and to keep from doing anything rash.

Everyone settles into the rental house and six-year-old Latisha, their beloved housekeeper Lillian's great-grandaughter, is having a blast searching for seashells when she discovers some much more valuable treasures that have washed up from a strong storm off the coast. As the storm nears, the crew packs up to head back to Abbotsville, and it appears that the three strangers they met on the beach—who seemed a bit too interested in little Latisha's treasures—have followed them back to their sleepy town.

In Miss Julia Weathers the Storm, another highly entertaining and delightful installment in the series by Ann B. Ross, Miss Julia must rely on her quick wit and strong will to protect Latisha, get to the bottom of LuAnne's predicament, and once again save the day.

Watch out for Ross's Miss Julia Raises the Roof, coming in April 2018!

I have read all her books so far and hope there are many more to come. She is just this great character, and all her friends are just as interesting. When Ann B. Ross writes, she tells her stories that make you see and feel Ike you are right there with Julia her friends and troubles. Love her books and have recommend them to my friends and family, even strangers who are looking for a fun series! Please don’t stop with this series, I wouldn’t know what I would read next that has made me feel as if I were part of Julia and her crazy adventures, laughing out loud at times. Can’t wait to see what comes next for her!

Once again Miss Julia finds herself in the middle of an adventure. Whether she is at the beach or back home in Abbottsville, she is trying to help everyone...Lillian, Latisha, LuAnne, Hazel Marie...the list goes on. And, of course, Miss Julia is drawn into the middle of a mystery. And when she's not dealing with a group of three people stalking her loved ones, she's trying to calm LuAnne down. Miss Julia is a hoot and I love how she worries about things when there is no need to be concerned. She has me chuckling while I follow the crazy antics that surround her. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!

I have enjoyed each one of the books by Anne Beach Ross. This book was no exception.

I think our wonderful author should take a sabbatical. I felt this last book took too long to get anywhere, then when it did...meh. I loved every single book to date, but this one seemed like it did a lot of spinning of its tires and was kind of short, to boot (mercifully).

ANOTHER WINNER!! Ann B. Ross has been a master storyteller for a long time. This is due to her excellent characterization, amazing twisting plots, hilarious conversation lines and stories that are built around family, friends, faith, & other relatable familiar threads for everyday readers. In Miss Julia Weathers the Storm, Sam decides to take everyone on a "Family Vacation." He casts his "family" net wide & it includes - Sam & Julia, the Pickens' Family, the Bates Family, Latisha, LouAnn & Etta Mae. Typical Southern Beach House Family Vacation. Everyone is Welcome! Until the Storm rolls in. But as is typical for Miss Julia, it is just a foreshadowing of more to follow! Leave it to Miss Julia to try to work everything out for everyone. She might need a little help from her friends with some of these situations. Another wonderfully entertaining read!!

I have read all of the series and they are all awesome. I could hardly wait to get it on May 4th. I drove 65 miles to Duluth, Minnesota to be the first one at B&N to get a copy. I loved every page and delight with each new book! Than you for writing such great books. I was glad Etta Mae was in this book also. I love her.

In her 19th 'Miss Julia' book, Ann B. Ross proves again that she never disappoints. Miss Julia is a particular favorite of mine and since the very first book, I have been an enormous fan. Miss Julia Springer Murdoch, although a very, very proper Presbyterian lady of means in a small NC mountain town, manages to get into some very odd circumstances. I just love her to pieces. Ross's cast of characters never fail to bring joy to this reader's heart. There's Lillian, Latisha (oh my, that child!), Lloyd, Hazel Marie, Mr. JD Pickens, Etta Mae Wiggins and more. Every single one delightful. I never fail to laugh out loud during my reading of a Miss Julia book! My husband has to listen to me read whole sections to him and he enjoys her, too, being known to ask me, "What's happening with Miss Julia now?" I love Ann Ross's writing style, being a southerner as I am, she writes in the vernacular that I am very familiar with. She uses many turns of phrase that I grew up with and still use myself. I can't say enough good things about the Miss Julia books. They are destined to be on your keeper shelf and read again and again. Highly recommended
