Yes, do seem to like this book.  But kids would also love and ice cream sundae with gummy worms for dinner.  I started to read this book to my 5 year old, but was put off by the I hate school, I'm horrible at math and it's okay, I really have low tolerance for classmates attitude permeating the text.  On lunch break I did read through and was really disappointed.  I do want my kids to read and I do have an older boy that is an avid reader.  However, I didn't need to pander to my kids with books of this content just to get them to read.  There are great imaginative books out there.  Just because your kid is reading a book and not TV doesn't mean parents cannot be active participants in reviewing content..
