Overview

Kalleum McKenzie arrives in the USA at the beginning of the Civil War. He fights for the Army of the United States as a Cavalryman. He has come to start a new life. He travels west to begin that life. He befriends a rancher in a battle to regain his ranch. Mac (as he is now known) is a fighter and a friend. He meets the lady, Lora McGuire, and an attraction develops. Mac makes friends and joins the battle with his new friend and becomes a true American.

Ken Wallin is a retired soldier, management consultant, and currently working as an online college professor. He serves as an associate dean of business, and teaches classes online in project management, operations, and general business. He is an avid reader. He grew up reading and has consumed every Louie L'Amour, Zane Grey, and Max Brand he could find. He dreamed of someday writing such books. Now, he has done his first.
