About the Author
Gregg Almes grew up in Western Pennsylvania. The son of a minister father and school teacher mother, he was raised with strong Christian and family values. His fondest childhood memories are of evenings spent as a family watching TV shows such as The Andy Griffith Show, The Walton’s, and Lassie. If they were really good, he and his older brother Bryan could stay up late and watch scary shows such as Dragnet or Perry Mason!
Gregg and his wife Betty were high school sweethearts and married in 1981, at the age of eighteen, while Gregg was serving in the U.S. Navy. They now live in Southeastern Michigan, close to the families of their three wonderful children and seven awesome grandchildren.
Gregg began writing poems for his wife in the early 1980’s. His work progressed over the next thirty years or more to touchingly and lovingly telling people’s life stories and experiences through Christian-based poems that have helped himself, his family members, and friends say goodbye to loved ones that have passed away.
