A good book...this series is really good for a light but humorous read. A nice beach read, too. Definetely start at the first book in the's worth it. Look for Georgia Nicolson (sp?) books as they are similar in some ways to this series. Enjoy!

Compared to the other ten books in the series, Mates, Dates, and Diamond Destiny was a 3 1/2. Maybe a 4. The message was good and the tips for what charity teens can help out with were great. I felt that the story was lacking in anything that made it stand out compared to the others. It seemed that this one focused more on the charity than any real romance, so that part really depends on what one looks for in a book. Times are really changing for Nesta Williams. At first she gets involved in charity work so she can pull boys, but then after seeing how much the world really does need help, she and her friends get to work. William Lewis, best friend of Nesta's two timing ex boyfriend, Luke, is also helping out with the charity. Nesta acts as if she hates him, but her friends can see behind her mask. When Nesta meets Williams's sister who is a cancer victim with a narrow chance of surviving, she, Izzie, Lucy, and T.J. try a number of ways to earn money for the Lotus Hospice, a place that houses victims and their families so that they are comfortable in their last days. Many of their attempts end up doing more bad than good, but then Nesta comes up with the brilliant idea of having a Diamond Destiny dance. The only problem is, they can't possibly earn enough money unless they get something people will really really want to the appearance of a famous face. Will Nesta end up with the guy and the money for the addition to the Hospice? Read and find out!
