When fire ravages Wyoming land, fireweed is among the first plants to return, brightening the blighted area with the joy of its blooms. Small-town lawyer Taylor Anne Larsen faces the challenge of doing the same for the pain-ravaged heart and disbelieving soul of ranch foreman Cal Ruskoff. Armed with the same grace and grit as the wildflower fireweed, Taylor also has allies – a matchmaking friend, a harsh western blizzard, high-octane mutual attraction, and a rescued puppy who slips past the defenses of this tough cowboy.

While they're snowbound together, Cal might give in to passion temporarily, but from behind the wall he's built around his past and his secrets, he's certain Taylor is all that he can't let himself have. And he'll use all his weapons to keep her out.

"These characters -- their dialogue, their fears, their complex personalities -- are very real. As a reader, I couldn't help fall under Cal's spell -- a good, troubled, mixed-up man who forces Taylor to confront some of her own demons, even as he refuses to face his own . . . There's a lot of subtle -- and not so subtle -- humor here, the love scenes are at once tender and sizzling, and the emotions and fears of both characters wrap themselves around the reader's heart and don't let go." – Karen Templeton, Amazon review

"Page turner, cute, funny. Can't wait to get the next in line" - 5*

"This is a great western story and would recommend you to read it. The author has great stories and I haven't found one of her books I don't like." - 5*

Wildflowers have to be strong and resilient to bloom amid the rugged western beauty of Wyoming - and so do the women.

Author's note: The collie puppy in Match Made in Wyoming is the alter ego of my much-loved rescue collie Riley ... right down to the inconvenient penchant for opening doors at the wrong moment. Although for Taylor and Cal, it turns out to be the right moment. :- )

Both author Patricia McLinn and narrator Julia Motyka are new to me. Although the second book in the series it can be read/listened to as a stand alone. I enjoyed the story and felt that Julia Motyka did a great job in her narration. . A sweet and entertaining story that captured my attention and kept me invested. I really loved the interactions of Cal and Taylor with the rescue dog Sin, it made for some heart warming moments throughout the book. Can Taylor break through the walls that Cal has built around him, or is he destined to be alone?

4.5 STARS - BUT BETTER THAN JUST PLAIN 4 STARS. I liked this story better than Almost a Bride. Both our H and h felt like real people, same baggage people can have, same problems to try and solve. The lovemaking is very passionate, not in a vulgar way, but described in a loving way. I liked how Dave and Matty show up in this story, in a minor way. This is about love that builds slowly, about people coming together that have scars from years of life being unfair. This is a wonderful story of HEA but with bumps trying to get there. (ljb)

I've read all three books in this series and they are all great. I actually felt as if I knew these people personally. Great read!!

Perhaps it is because she is so happy being married to her beloved Dave. Matty Brennan Currick sets up attorney Taylor Larson and Cal Ruskoff into sharing two kisses. However since the New Year¿s Eve kisses, Cal has avoided Taylor as if she has the plague.

Matty cons Taylor into bringing a rescued canine to Cal, who is alone at the Flying W Ranch. However, Matty never expected the blizzard that socked her part of Wyoming would leave her alone with the hermit. Soon love blossoms between the duo but the misanthrope has a past that he allows to wreck their chance at happiness.

MATCH MADE IN WYOMING is a fun to read ranch romance that works in spite of the overused gimmick of stranded together due to inclement weather because of the cast. The return of Matty and Dave (see ALMOST A BRIDE) feels like a two-person welcoming committee. Taylor is a Buckeye turned Wyoming wildflower. Between her epiphany ¿It¿s as simple as you make it¿, her adulation of Atticus Finch, and her love for Cal, she is a wonderful character. While silent Cal does not deserve Taylor, readers will empathize with his plight. Though the story line is a bit thin, Patricia McLinn has written an enjoyable tale with endearing characters.

Wyoming Wildflowers Series by Patricia McLinn February 13, 2015 - February 15, 2015 Prequel – Wyoming Wildflowers: The Beginning (Snowberry) Book 1 – Almost a Bride (Indian Paintbrush) Book 2 – Match Made in Wyoming (Fireweed) Book 3 – My Heart Remembers (Bur Marigold) Book 4 – Jack’s Heart (Yellow Monkeyflower) Love all the characters, the plots, the settings and the stories in the Wyoming Wildflowers Series by Patricia McLinn. The storylines are all catching and I wasn’t able to stop reading, wanting to find out what happens next. I will be looking for more from Patricia McLinn in the future. The story had all of the characteristics that I like to discover when finding a good book to read: • One or more HOT alpha males • Hot chemistry between heroine/hero • Good story line • Wonderful backup characters • Family • Drama • Romance
