Reading the original Mary Poppins stories is a perfect complement to the new Mary Poppins movie, SAVING MR. BANKS, where we can get a glimpse of the author, P.L. Travers.

This is not your movie Julie Andrews Mary Poppins. The real nanny believes much more in tough love. And the children are the better for it. The adventures the children take are numerous and all are good learning experiences, even if the children don't think so at the time.If you've seen the movie go check out what it started as!
