Beautiful photography and nice, simple real family recipes. I find the negative comments about it not being loaded with chef quality recipes kind of funny. She’s not a chef and doesn’t claim to be. It’s just a nice, family cookbook. Already made her biscuits... yum! Take 20% off coupons from

As a chef and conscious eater, who always looks to eat better, not less, to live better, simple is always better for me in the dishes that I make. When it comes to cooking, I can whip up a scrumptious dish at my restaurant, but when it comes to what I eat, I often don't have that much time after working sometimes up to 12 hours a day. Also, I am a picky eater. That is why I love this book and highly recommend it. From the chicken salad and the roasted cauliflower soup to the biscuits, I am not even a fan of biscuits, that you have to pair with the strawberry jam, I felt inspired in the kitchen by this book. The recipes are easy and rewarding for the effort that you put into making them. I adore the cookies recipe and started making the Brussel sprouts at work the same way as suggested in the book. If this book has one flaw it is how it was put together, the binding doesn't allow you to lay it flat to refer back to the recipes as you cook. Other than that, it is a winner to me and will be for many others. Enjoy!... I am enjoying the book after being in Waco and going to Magnolia Market and having lunch at Magnolia Table. Was able to get for much less from you that buying it there for $30!

Of all my more recent cookbook purchases I think I will actually use this one. The recipes are ones most would eat and the ingredients I would probably have. Nicely presented and fun to read as well. So many cookbooks have ingredients that are just not in most households and too long to prepare. This one is practical, useful.

FAMILY RECIPES! Joanna Gaines’ Cookbook is filled with delicious recipes from her family and her extended family. Think of it as if you were sharing your family’s beloved best loved recipes and this is what you get! I’ve read a ton of reviews that don’t like it because she uses Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice, canned soups, real butter, whole milk and other such ingredients. My husband’s from Louisiana & his favorite Chef (he owns ALL his autographed Cookbooks!) and one of his main ingredients is heavy whipping cream! If you don’t like those ingredients, ADJUST! Most of us are busy & appreciate all the shortcuts we can get. Again, these are their Family Recipes and our Favorite is Baked Chicken with Bacon Bottom and Wild Rice. There are so many more that are on our list to try! Here’s another TIP: If you’re having trouble keeping your Cookbook open, just take a photo of the Recipe with your phone. It serves 2 purposes. 1)When you go to the Grocery, you’ll already have your List of Ingredients with you. 2)You can use your Recipe on your phone or tablet while you cook or print it off.

I love this cookbook for a number of reasons. It is beautifully written with lots of pictures of food and family. The recipes are very uncomplicated and everyone that I tried I had the ingredients for in the house. I am so happy with this cookbook and it is my favorite "go to" cookbook. Everything I have tried has been super good.

If you like Fixer Upper, you will enjoy reading this book. The recipes look simple enough to make for a busy lifestyle. However, if you are wanting to eat healthy, be aware that Joanna uses tons of butter, cream and sugar. This is not for the dieter! Everything looks and sounds delicious. I bought as a gift and it was a big hit.

Bought two copies - for a friend and myself. Love the book, not only the great recipes but the pictures as well. My friend and I have both been to Magnolia in Waco and enjoyed that also.

I love this cookbook! The instructions are easy to follow and the results are delicious! I've made several of the recipes already, but our favorite is probably the macaroni and cheese. The entire cookbook is filled with family comfort meals.

Bought this book as a Mother's day gift for my sister and she loves it. Has already found some recipes that she wants to try. Excellent gift!
