I attended the NAEYC Early Childhood Conference in New York City in December 2002, and one of the authors was present and taught a session. I just loved some of the incerpts that she read from the book. I don't have children of my own yet, but I teach pre-school children and found this book extremely insightful. This book is great for anyone that is around kids.
