LOVE SO HOT, Book One of The Lawson Brothers
Bank Teller and all around good girl, Sydney McKnight, is tired of being the girl all the guys want to have as a friend. Who better to help unleash her inner vixen than her best friend and secret crush, Brody Lawson? Only, Sydney has no idea how to ask him, without their friendship going up in flames, until that is, the town of Jessamine's annual Firemen's Auction gives her the perfect excuse to set her plan into motion.

Fire Captain Brody Lawson has been in love with his best friend, Sydney, for years, but he would never risk their friendship by confessing his feelings to her. So, when Sydney beats out the competition to buy his time at the annual Firemen's Auction, Brody can hardly believe his luck until she asks him to teach her how to seduce a fellow fireman.

Now, it's up to Brody to show Sydney how perfect she already is and convince her that the only man for her is him, because if Sydney is going to seduce any man, it's going to be him. And once he has her in his bed, he's not letting her go.

I loved it. I purchased this book because I love Marquita Valentine. Love So Hot is the story of two friends that are in love but afraid to act on their feelings. What ensues is hilarious and entertaining fun. This is a must read. You will not want to put the book down until you finish it. I didn't.

Love So Hot by Marquita Valentine is a fantastic, quick read. This is a fun story with plenty of humor, drama and great characters. I enjoyed Brody and Sydney's story. Love So Hot is a well written book and I look forward to reading more from this author. This book is part 1 of the Lawson Brothers series, but it can be read as a stand alone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I look forward to reading more from Marquita Valentine in the future.

Love So Hot is soo addictive that I couldn't put it down! This is the first book in the Lawson Brother's series. I've already purchased the other two and can't wait to begin reading them. Brody and Sydney's story is one that makes you feel the emotions as if it's your life being played out on the books pages. If you love Jill Shalvis then you will adore Marquita Valentine!! She can't write fast enough for me. New favorite author!

Love So Hot is the first book in Marquita Valentine's new series The Lawson Brothers. Who doesn't love a bunch of alpha male heroes from a small town? I'm definitely looking forward to reading this series. This first story is about Brody and Sydney who have been best friends for years, but something has changed in the last few years between them. Their feelings have changed and neither one is comfortable sharing that bit of information with the other one. Sydney and her friend hatch up a plan to get Brody interested. There is a local charity event to make money auctioning the bachelors in town to the highest bidder. Sydney sets her sights on Brody and is soon caught in a game of lust, love and friendship that is making her more than a little uncomfortable.  Brody is caught off guard by Sydney, but is more than willing to play this game until it get's a little too hot for him to handle, but he knows for damn sure he isn't going to let anyone else move in on his girl. Now he just has to make sure that they are both on the same page. I loved this friends become lovers story. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.  Lori P

Love So Hot was just that...a love that had been burning for years and neither Brody Lawson nor Sydney McKnight wanted to risk their decades long friendship for fear of being rejected. With the help of a few well meaning friends, they attempt to get the Fire Captain and the bank teller to tell each other how they really feel. Through humor, some misunderstandings and some really hot kisses, the two longtime friends connect, but not in the way they both really want. Will they finally fess up to having been in love with each other for years or will the misunderstandings continue? I really enjoyed Brody and Sydney's story and Marquita Valentine did a great job with the friends to lovers story that we have seen before by giving it a few new and different twists. I look forward to the next book in this new series!

Love so Hot was a good read I have to admit. I like the plot even though it's a very usual troupe. friends to lovers with the combination of hidden boyfriend. if anything, I like that they added an itty bit of religion in there. the book can be steamy and swoony. very cliche on the ending and resolution. and i have a feeling this book is definitely on the lighter story lines in the series. did it convince me to read the rest of the series? not really. i like the sound of the next book after this, but it wasn't amazing enough for me to do so. i still enjoyed reading it though.

This book felt very rushed and incomplete. Not horrible but definitely not memorable either.
