Love At First Flight by Marie Force shows that love can happen when you least expect it. Baltimore attorney Michael Maguire is trying the biggest case of his young career. He really can't afford a weekend away but his fiancée Paige is demanding his presence in Jacksonville Beach Fla. Michael strikes up a conversation with his seat mate and discovers they are both in long distance relationships. Hairstylist Juliana Gregorio is flying to Fla. to spend the weekend with her long time boyfriend Jeremy. Jeremy has been away on a job for over seven months and Juliana feels they need to reconnect. Since both Juliana and Michael are returning on the same flight they agree to meet up again on Sunday. Neither weekend goes as planned. Michael's fiancée family tries once again to control him and he bulks and calls off the engagement. Jeremy reluctantly admits to wondering if the grass is greener on the other side since he and Juliana have dated for over ten years. Juliana wants them to take a three month break with no contact. The flight home is revealing for both Michael and Juliana. Michael offers her a place to stay since she doesn't want to return to the home she shared with Jeremy. Both are attracted to each other but their past still are playing havoc with their emotions. Michael's high profile case is causing danger to come extremely close to home. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his star witness and Juliana safe. But can he keep his heart safe when Juliana time limit to Jeremy is up? Love At First Flight is wonderful. Marie Force really makes you feel the gambit of emotions, the highs and the lows. You feel like these characters problems are real and they touch your heart. I feel in love with Ms. Force's work in Line Of Scrimmage and it continues in Love At First Flight. This is an author that is going places.

A MUST READ!!!!!!! This book is so amazing. I loved it. However I started to read "Everyone Loves a Hero" (also by Marie Force) and I realized at about the 15th page, that these characters were mentioned in that book, so I stopped reading that and started with this, and I'm so glad I did. It was just fantastic. I fell in love with Micheal from the very beginning. And for the record, Jeremy is a JERK

You are going to want this trip to last forever! Wonderfully written, the characters are so real and the romance is "first-class" all the way! Loved it!

What matters most Three love stories intertwine in this intriguing modern-day love story with that ever-elusive marriage proposal, or its absence, at the core. Juliana and Jeremy have been together for ten years. They’ve set up home. They’ve shared everything. And the future seems set. Meanwhile Michael and Paige are about to enjoy a high-class engagement party at Paige’s parents’ expense. Michael takes the same flight as Juliana, and temptation sneaks into security. In the end, life’s not about security of course. Juliana finds herself shaken when Jeremy reveals his own insecurities. Michael is shaken by Paige’s father’s assumptions. And everyone is shaken when Michael’s job as state prosecutor leads to guards around his home, witness protection and more. As real danger threatens, Michael and Juliana both find themselves re-examining what matters most to them. The author does a nice job of showing love’s different and shakiest foundations. The characters are convincing. The background trial is intriguing and scary. And the gentle touch of new love and burgeoning trust is very nicely done. For myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the tale, but ended up wondering just how many years of togetherness equate to commitment. Perhaps I just belong to the wrong generation. Love at First Flight is a pleasing love story, filled with complications, nicely balanced with a hint that at least some of our troubles come at our own hands, and beautifully located with enjoyable descriptions of town and countryside in the Eastern US. Disclosure: I was lucky enough to find a free ecopy of this novel and enjoyed reading it.

I enjoyed the realness of the emotions, true to life. However whati did not like in this book and others of the same genre is how quick the "I love you's" come when the characters have only known one another for a few weeks or so. The story line was great nonetheless and Juliana' s internal struggle over two men was on spot.

I have to say I almost gave up on this was a little slow getting into it. But, once I did, I couldn't put it down. I loved the lawyer aspect- it added a flavor that is usually missing in the usual contemporary romance. I highly recommend it!

Marie Force is one of my favorite aurthors for a quick and easy read. Love at First Flight did not disappoint no matter that it was somewhat predictable. Great read if you just want to slip away and forget your real life for a while!

Juliana and Jeremy have been together for 10 years, and although they're not planning a wedding any time soon, Juliana thinks their relationship is perfect. Michael and Paige fell in love in college. Although they're engaged, he's concerned about her recent spoiled behavior. When Juliana and Michael meet on a plane to visit their significant others, there is an instant spark. While they're apart, they are both intimate, and their experiences with Jeremy/Paige are described. Things quickly change, and on the plane ride home, they discover things did not go well for either of them. Juliana and Jeremy are taking a 3-month break from each other, and Michael has broken off his engagment to Paige. That's when crazy things start to happen. I don't want to post spoilers, but let's just say that Juliana does a lot of things that are unlikable and Michael allows her to walk all over him. She doesn't deserve Michael, and he needs to grow a backbone. Too many things happen that never would occur in the real world. For example, Michael gives her a ride home from the airport, and after knowing each other for mere hours, she suggests they become roommates. He agrees, and before long confesses his love for her. In a span of 2 months, they fall in love, have sex numerous times, and decide to marry one another. (No fears about spoilers, as things do not happen as you would expect.) I tried this because it was free, and while the writing isn't bad, much of it is just too unrealistic to overlook. I decided to give it 3 stars because while it is far-fetched, there are truly romantic moments. Michael is every woman's fantasy, and it's a nice escape to read about him. I could have done without all the extra baggage Juliana brings to the relationship. She should have cut her ties on the beach and moved on. In short, the dialogue is great, the writing style is enjoyable, but it needs a reality check.

LOVED this romance! I never really read contemporary romance before but after this book I'm adding to my auto-buy list:DI fell in love with author Marie Force's Love At First Flight. It's an outstanding contemporary romance and well worth the purchase price! Thanks to Limecello for introducing me to Marie and her book over on her book blog:)The book is about Michael and Juliana who meet on a plane and pretty much click instantly as friends. Both are in current relationships and have a nice chat but don't much expect to see each other again. But fate intervenes and I loved the plot twists and characters. Here's the excerpt Limecello posted that made me want to read the book:¿I¿m only asking you for one thing, Juliana. Come find me. I¿ll either be here or in Newport ¿ you know where ¿ and I¿ll be waiting for you. I don¿t care if it¿s a week, a year, five years, twenty years. Find me.¿¿But surely you¿ll be married with a family -¿He shook his head. ¿Never. It¿s you or no one. So don¿t think for a minute I won¿t still want you or that my pride is too wounded to forgive you. I¿ve already forgiven you. That¿s how much I love you.¿

I loved this book! At the beginning it was a bit cheesy for me, but the overall effect left me crying, laughing out loud and punching my fist in the air with a whoop of joy! I loved that Juliana worked things out for herself and didn't rely on outsiders to help her. She was a great character that I couldn't help but like!Michael is every woman's dream come true. He knew all the right things to say to Juliana and all the right things to do to win her heart. They had such an interesting and open relationship right from the start, that you knew that they would be able to make it. Even during the little bit of drama/mystery/suspense that was thrown in. The worst part of the book was the ending! I didn't want it to! Michael, Jeremy and Juliana pull out all the stops at the end, and are all truly fighting for what they want and believe in. It was such a perfect ending to a great love story. The thing that I came out with is that love knows no bounds. Michael made that very clear. What a fun story! I look forward to other books by this author. True romance books aren't usually on the top of my list, but it was very well written and I really enjoyed it. I had planned on giving this book away here on my blog, but I can't part with it. This is one that I know I'll read again.

I just finished Love at First Flight! As with all your books I was riveted, laughing crying...and this time, and a little bit angry,at Juliana, for what I saw as a stupid move! But I quickly realized that it had to happen that way. Thank you Marie, for the countless sleepless hours and for once again falling in love with the characters you create to take me away and pull me in!.

This is another amazing love story by Marie Force.  One of the reviewers wrote she didn't like how quickly the "I love you" came out.  But sometimes that happens ... you know ... you just know this is the person you will spend your life loving.  It really happens in life and in wonderful love stories.  Besides I'm not looking to read a book I have to analyze, I want a good love story with some fantasy thrown in.  Buy the book, you won't regret it.
