About the Author

Mary J. Gordon's love of children has been her focus for over 40 years. Along with being a published author, she has been an elementary school teacher and principal. Her storytelling has been enjoyed in classrooms for decades. Mary's dedication for teaching children to read has translated into successful reading programs in several schools where she served as Principal.
She was awarded the Life Achievement Award by the Iowa P.T.A. and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Drake University's School of Education in Des Moines, Iowa.
