Overview
On this unusual set, Anita Gravine (who enjoys singing offbeat material) performs 13 songs that were used in Fellini films. The English lyrics fit the haunting nature of the music, as does pianist Michael Abene's arrangements. With such musicians as trumpeter Greg Gisbert (who receives a lot of solo space), bass clarinetist Roger Rosenberg and guitarist John Basile, Gravine's warm voice is well showcased on a variety of atmospheric ballads. Listeners tired of hearing singers perform the same old material will definitely find this set of interest.
