After the lose of her cat, Kate's parents took her to the animal shelter for a "pup" that Kate so enthusiastically suggested. One dog, Dave, wasn't enough once the family noticed a larger dog that touched their hearts. The next day, the family went back to the animal shelter and added Rosy to the family. Fun illustrations.

Young Kate and her parents visit the Animal Rescue to bring home a new addition for their family, Dave. But upon leaving, their hearts are tugged by another dog, who they decide to return for the next morning. Heartwarming without being sappy. Great illustrations.
