I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into when I started to read this book. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a fantastic book with very doable tips. I'm with someone who tries to be romantic, and for the most part is quite romantic. Getting him to read a book like this (or really ANY book....let's face it ..... I'm totally the reader around here) would be impossible. HOWEVER, he will listen to me when I read excerpts. So, that's exactly what I did. It was kind of nice because I really got to choose what I wanted to emphasize that way too! I'm a tricky little bugger! Sorry, I kind of got off topic there for a bit. This book is full of practical tips that everyone is capable of. If you try just a few of the suggestions in this book I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! This would be a great book for anyone but perhaps would be a perfect wedding or engagement gift! I'm not a man (it's geared towards men) but I enjoyed it as well!

This lovely book can be used by so many different people, those just starting out on their adult or romantic journey going all the way through to those who have been married for so long they have forgotten the true meaning of 'Love' or have taken it a little for granted. I can imagine so many women, once they have read this, leaving it somewhere totally on show for their partner to pick up and hopefully embrace what is inside.  The author shares from his own personal experience and simply takes you through the different aspects, tips and ideas that make relationships truly work so you are not settling for second best and even things to consider when doing so.  Quotes inside drawings, note pages to write your thoughts on and even website links can also be found too as an extra helpful guide. For those already in relationships it's a good tool on what you should work on to make things blossom, including ways to enjoy each other's company more. One very simple question made such an impact with me that I knew if it was read by somebody close it would really make them think hard and you can find that in the last paragraph on page 38, yes big tease sorry! The author does stress that no matter how hard you try in a relationship or follow any of the advice there is no guarantee that feelings will the reciprocated, you cannot simply 'make' someone love you. One tiny pet hate for me, is the use of the affectionate word 'honey' but I can totally let the author off with this after reading his second Valentine's Day treats for his wife, seriously they could have been written as my dream night!!  Love is an extremely special reward between two people as long as you really take the time and effort to make it work and this book is a great start.

This was a great book for Valentine's day. It had great ideas and helped to have resources all in one place. I also liked that the suggestions were as easy as wrapping gifts to as complicated as learning how to give a massage. Some of these I would love to copy and tape around the house for my hubby to see. However I love when I get a gift wrapped messy because I know that he did it himself. There is something to be said for not everything being perfect. I do think that if you are worried about the small stuff then this book is perfect. There are always going to be issues, why not use this book to lessen them!. I am giving this book a 3/5. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

What a simple but perfect book to make your sweetheart swoon all over you. I loved this book so much. I read it non-stop until the last page. The examples are easy to follow. Some tips even does not involve money. I highly recommend this book to new lovers and old couples who wants to spice up their marriage life.     Love is the greatest thing. It is the most powerful feelings if we are in-love with someone who value as a person. This book will help you even more hopelessly in-love with your girlfriend or white. Some tips make me smile. I love the gift giving ideas as well. Open your hearts and mind while reading this book. There is even a special page where you can write specific notes.     Love cost a thing. It does not meant to be very expensive. Read carefully this book and follow some useful and sweet ideas and your relationship will blossom like flowers.

This book is a great easy read for anybody looking for ideas on how to show their significant others how they feel. The examples the Cullum provides in the book range from simple to somewhat elaborate, but can be altered to suit your relationship or the occasion. I have done some of these ideas in the past and they have gotten some great reactions. I love that Cullum gives you note pages for you to jot down your own ideas and notes. And even better, he provides some websites that can help you with each of the ideas that he provides in the book. This book is a good read for anyone, male and female alike. If you think someone needs some help with ways to show their love, slip this book in their reading arsenal.

As a disclaimer, first of all, I am not a man nor am I married (nor in a relationship), but I chose to read this book with an open mind anyway. AFter all, I was married, and I was even in a few relationships. Currently, I am not interested in romance, but I have friends. So I read this book as a resource. Indeed, this book is quite a resource. It is easy to read, and it is certainly a current book with plenty of up-to-date information and websites. And I suppose from a man's perspective, the book would meet the need. I have seen more comprehensive books on this subject--I have read plenty of books from this genre. The book is organized well, and it would be one that I would mostly recommend for its conciseness. If you're looking for a good place to start when looking for creative love ideas. I was sent a copy fo this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated in any way, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Never before have I read a book quite like this! I loved that this book was actually meant to be read by women first, then given to their significant other or spouse with all of the proper notes made. I do have to admit though, that some of the authors ideas I had never even thought of, but after reading I couldn't wait to add then to my "must do" list. (Like kayaking!) But key elements were definitely brought to light. Some of these can be somewhat touchy subjects when being discussed between two people (like why I don't like it when my husband buys me clothing), but somehow reading it in a book would get the thought across without creating tension. rather an understanding of sorts. I'm not certain if my husband has read this book yet or not, but rest assured that I did & made all the proper notes before giving it to him. And I may or may not have taken a highlighter to anything mentioning kayaking.

I know sooooooooooooo many men who could benefit from reading and studying this book. Thankfully, one of those men is not my husband. I am blessed to have a husband who still, after eight years of being together, does all of those 'little' things, without being prompted, reminded or asked. I am not one of those demanding types of women who insists on still having him open every door for me nor do I need flowers or jewelry for every little anniversary but sometimes the 'simple' things that he does mean the most. For example, I was sick for a few days and without question, he took on all of the household duties including laundry, dishes, cooking, helping the kids with homework, packing school lunches, etc. On top of all that, he made sure that I had plenty of medication, water, blankets and rest!   To be honest, I felt a little sad that this book even needed to be written. Most of the information should be 'common sense' because, by nature, we should simply treat one another with love, honor and respect. Sadly, more and more generations are forgetting these simple, yet important traits of a relationship so I would fully support handing these out to every single young man as he gets ready to start his journey down the dating trail. He'd pretty much have the holy grail in his hands and be able to have a normal, fully-functioning relationship in no time! I received a free copy of the book for reviewing purposes; however, this did not affect the outcome of my review. All opinions are 100% my own.

This book was a read that was quick and I was even able to get a couple little excerpts read out to my husband. He let me read to him! It was amazing. He actually agreed with the things that the author was saying too. Tips for people to try to be more romantic can sometimes come across a little crass, and I was glad that this book was exactly the opposite of that. My husband is romantic when he really tries but this book shows you that it is not only the big gestures that count. It’s the smallest of gestures towards the one that you love that also do. The book was full of tips that could easily be done by anyone. You would be surprised how much you are truly capable of with the suggestions that the author puts out there. The book was geared towards a man but I definitely enjoyed it nonetheless and sharing the bits and pieces with my husband that I wanted. I loved that at the end of each section there was a space for notes that you could make of what your wife loves. I took this as a chance to write down what I love and let my husband look at it. Great present for people that are just getting married or even those that have been together a while to realize what it takes to have that little romantic spark come back into a relationship. Pick it up whether you’re reading it as a man or as a woman with your man. It is well worth it!  I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
